Yes. Most anything you eat or drink can make you fat depending on how much you consume.

QFT. Zumba burns are reported as being so high. I never get those burns, even in the most vigorous of classes. The most I get to (and I mean with jumps and all) is 400. OP eat until you are normally full. Why overeat? Makes no sense. That's how the bad habit starts.

I want to look like you, whatever that number is! :flowerforyou:

I look at pictures of old me and I really don't want to go back there again!

Increase fats and protein. Consume slow burning carbs. Set goals. Remind yourself of your goals. Work toward them. It's not easy but you've done this before so you can do it again. Only this time, make it better!

It shouldn't but it does.

Exactly! I only do Insanity twice a week since I do other workouts as well. If you take breaks, or constantly do the modifications, you won't get a high enough burn. I always feel I am about to die right at the end of it and then, thank goodness, it's cool down time. ETA: I wear a BodyMedia too and I don't get a burn…

That's a fantastic perspective. All of life is really about daily practice.

What was your starting weight and what is it now?

You may have tight hip flexors as well as tight psoas muscles. Look those up and incorporate stretches every day. Foam roll those areas as well.

Thanks for your reply. I was looking to drop a little more in BF% before even attempting to understand the world of body recomp. I think I read somewhere that being a bit under 20% was a good place to start for women. I still have flab on me in many places so I thought it would be better to keep losing while preserving LBM…

I do push ups every day for chest and arms. I do barbell rows. I do body\weight exercises with a heavy medicine ball and resistance bands for my arms. I don't know how they got this way! I had huge, flabby, no-shape arms for the longest time and then some muscles popped out.

Just start doing 30 minutes of anything and cut your portions in half when you eat. As the pounds come off you will be motivated to do more and more. Start today!

You guys are so sweet:flowerforyou: Yes I did push through and went from 140 to 134. It was not easy. I had to change up my workouts frequently, cut back on running several miles at a time and switch up the foods I was eating a little bit. It's not a struggle but it's just not a quick and easy process. I guess I am…

I watched the one with the young coach guy. Made me cry to be honest. He lost so much weight and looked so incredibly fit. My question really was about how to get through a stall or a major slow down in terms of loss. How do those people do it regardless of all the assistance they have. I mean, if I put in the work I will…

It was the magic number when I first started out and didn't know what I know now thanks to some very helpful people on MFP who are now part of my friend's list. I've had endless support and encouragement and I am truly grateful for what this site has given me. Yes that is my arm! I think what I'm gleaning for the responses…

I watched 2 episodes of Extreme Weight Loss. I don't have a TV so I don't watch these shows. I have heard and read about them. I think in those two episodes only a stomach skin reduction was done, nothing else.

What makes you say this? You don't know how much food I eat. At the very least, ask me how many calories I consume and what I eat before making your declaration. If I hadn't eaten less food I wouldn't have lost 126 pounds. I know I got that part covered.

I do PiYo at the gym once a week and I can't say it helped me lose weight. It does make you more aware of your muscles and trains you how to keep good posture, use your core, and balance better. It isn't that much of a cardio workout even if it moves fast. I don't burn more than 110 calories in an hour of PiYo and that's…

I based it on body fat% as tracked by trainer over a period of time. I'm currently at 21% BF with LBM of 106 and Fat Mass of 28. I know these numbers can be off but I've had measurements taken consistently so they've been off from the start :-D I want to preserve LBM (or increase it later with a bulk) and cut down on BF%…

Do HIIT workouts instead. Don't run. Steady state cardio won't help you step up your weight loss. It will train you to have more endurance. Just do Tabata or HIIT workouts.

What you have achieved is the result of your incredible resolve and planning. Great work! These are skills that will help you in every area of your life. Keep getting stronger! Really awesome transformation.

I know that for me, operating on a feelings basis messes things up. So, even when I don't want to work out or don't want to eat well because of how I "feel" I have to turn that switch of and just do. If I don't do that then it is easy to not be consistent because I give in to feeling tired or sad or not in the mood or lazy…

I love doing yoga and it has benefited me in several ways. It helps that I am very flexible so poses are not a huge struggle for me. But, even if I were not flexible, I'd still love it and continue to pursue it. You just have to go at your own pace, honor your limitations and not feel like you have to compete with anybody.…

I went from being a never-ran-for-or-from-anything-in-my-life to completing the C25K program last October, running a 5K race, increasing mileage to 6.1 miles and running a 10K race and then increasing mileage until I almost got to completing training for a half marathon. I stopped because I realized I loved lifting weights…

I think you need better role models in your life.
