I made goal two weeks ago. I got down to 120. It's been an amazing ride; lots of ups and downs but totally worth it.

I'm glad I read this before reading the thread...cool What? That's around essential fat for a woman (10-13%) how are you measuring it? And are you going to put weight on now? [/quote] I had the hydrostatic body fat thing done.
-
Right now I feel healthy and energetic. It's a good place for me. My weight goes between 121 and 124, depending on the week or the workout. 13.5% isn't a dangerous place; I still have all my stuff happening normally. Not looking to go any lower though.
-
You look fantastic. And so beautiful!
-
I'm at 121 lbs but my body fat has dropped by another percent bringing me to 13.5%.
-
Paradoxically, working out LESS sped up my weight loss.
-
Thank you sijomial. I know for some of us seeing the weight creep back up is dreadful...by some I mean me! I have worked at this and am happy with my 14,5% body fat, muscle definition and general health situation. It feels good to be at the weight I am so now I have to really work at keeping things that way. I wasn't…

Thank you Jak! Yes I took a break from counting and I think the zigzagging of cals helped but also changing up my strength training program helped. I started playing around with reps and sets and that really helped change things up. I am now stuck with figuring my maintenance calories and this has caused a bump up in my…
-
Oh I didn't realize that about running. Yes I think 5 pounds is a good range to maintain; I just didn't expect to hit the high end of it so quickly!

I'm down to 121.5 since Feb. 16th! One pound away from what I had selected as my goal weight but I'm more about building/preserving muscle mass and lowering body fat than anything else. My BF% is now around 16 and it's still so unbelievable to me.

nice legs

Update: I am now at 126.5 lbs. I am not too sure what made this happen other than sticking with a plan but also changing it up from time to time. For all of you who feel the weight won't budge, I can tell you that it eventually does but it takes a lot, A LOT, of patience and consistency.

My ex-husband checking out my *kitten* :D
-
F A B U L O U S! You must be so proud of yourself!
-
Haha! Yeah that's about right. Eat sensibly, strength train, throw in a bit of cardio, get good sleep at night, quit counting calories for a bit (that's what I did), change up your workouts, and just stick with it.
-
I don't know how those people lost weight but I strength train 3 times a week and my muscle mass is in a good place. I've worked my *kitten* off to preserve it and ended up building some more too.
-
Thank you! Yeah I think that's been key - sticking with it. It's very easy to just throw in the towel but eventually something has to shift and I'm glad it did.

I've managed to work my way down to 130 and I feel comfortable here. I could go down to 125 but I'm okay with it taking a few months. It has been so difficult to lose these 3 pounds! I had to constantly switch up workouts, foods, zig zag with calories and I quit logging for a period of time...which seems to have helped.…

No it is not. Every time I begin training for a half marathon, I get sick of running and start hating it. Just asking my Friend List on MFP :D When I run for myself, and for fun, I stick with it and do great. I actually enjoy it and I look forward to the next run. I am not a dedicated runner. I love lifting weights. I love…

"I don't have time to work out." "I don't have time to prepare my meals." Anything involving a lack of time excuse is annoying for me to hear.
-
Your legs are AMAZING!
-
OP you ask some interesting questions. In my case, I had to ask myself why I wasn't allowing myself to be the best self I knew I could be. I had to face the answers, however hurtful they were, and only then was I able to commit to change. It's been so worth it.

What is your overall calorie consumption? Protein isn't just meat. It's eggs, cheese, quinoa, fish, milk, vegetables, etc. I don't know what your meals are like but if you add 40gr to each meal then you will easily hit 120gr by the end of the day. It will also keep you full. Perhaps you need to adjust your macros and, yes,…
-
Yeah I second that. I would not last with just 40gr of protein a day. 150 is a bit much for me but I try to get in 120 a day with food.
-
You know my only motivation it that I just can't go back to where I was. It totally sucked. I really don't want to go back there.
-
Thank yopu Kyla. My goal is 120lbs but I don't know if I will get there. I'm not willing to sacrifice my muscle mass for a scale number right now.
-
She takes great care of her body. Wonder what her work out regimen is.
-
A quick update. My weight is now between 132 and 131 lbs. I've been stuck here for the past 4 months. Maybe I will have good news to report again in 6 months!
-
...because I want to hit 130.
-
You deserve to be proud of your accomplishment. Keep it up! Love the comment on wanting to work out rather than having to.
