Well you always looked lovely, but wow - you can really see the change!!! xxx

You gave me palpitations seeing that you posted it on here instead of going straight to the doctor! Go see a doctor. Anything heart or chest related should be checked out asap, if only for reassurance x Edit - just seen you have booked an appointment. Good work :)

Welcome! Good luck with it, it's a great site to use xxx

One of the biggest learning curves for me was finding out just how many calories are in things. I had no idea I was eating so much! Give yourself time to learn about what you're eating, and to make changes to your diet. Like vnakkar says, try to hit the bottom line number first, and make healthier choices as you get used…

re kkristof1: LOL! And also check out the fat content in a lot of free-from foods!

Not celiac, but wheat and egg intolerant for 12 years now! The egg makes it a bit more of a challenge :S Good luck with your new diet. It's not too bad finding alternatives these days. Hope you get on ok x

I read them all just recently, thought they were really good!

From what I have read and researched, the kind of exercises many people are familiar with in the gym may not be the ones that help you progress the most. You could get a hundred different suggestions on here that are all different and that all work for the person in question, but which might not be suitable for you for…

Thank you for posting this, I read it all. You look amazing and have done an incredible job, I am both in awe and inspired! I am 39 and my chosen exercise is lifting and karate. Right now I am working through New Rules of Lifting for Women and I can't wait for the next workout. I don't want a skinny body, I want a muscular…

Hi Laurie, I have used weights on and off all my life, but never with the research or intention I have right now. I am currently in stage one of New Rules of Lifting for Women (subtitled: 'lift like a man, look like a godess', lol). I log on mfp every day and like to keep my friends group small so I can interact with…

This is gonna sound really boring but give me a dog any day. The most amazing loyal companion anyone could wish for! ... or if they wouldn't eat you, a wolf :D

If the GP can't find anything wrong, find a good osteopath. Osteopaths are amazingly talented at finding the route of pain.

Hi I_am_Katy, I am Kate. I've been ill for two and a half weeks with a nasty virus. I know it's not the same and I should be better soon (hopefully! - third doctors visit later today as I seem to be getting worse again...) but I really understand how difficult it is to stay motivated without logging that daily exercise.…

^^THIS^^ When I first met my husband he wouldn't eat anything 'green'. Now he loves a good salad and will scoff down tonnes of veg. He too had bad experiences of soggy or badly cooked veg. Start off small with chopped up things in small portions added to other things, as Arrabindi says, it's amazing what you can disguise…

Dress is LOVELY! (I am in UK). It looks great. Shoes are just ***NO*** lol. Don't worry about being tall - embrace it and wear some gorgeous strappy heels with it. It's the night you should stand out the most so stand tall and wear that dress to hell xxx

Absolutely take rest days if you need them, but don't include them in the 30 days. If your body needs a rest, you give it a rest x

Fantastic messages and all inspiring and motivating (you know, except the toilet roll one lol!). Thank you all so much, this has been amazing to read x
-
Wow, what an amazing response! Thank you everyone, I can't wait to read through all of your thoughts xxx

If your dog needs to be on a lead, I strongly recommend a harness rather than a headcollar or neck collar. The reason I say this is that if you or the dog has to stop suddenly, there is no stress or jerking on their neck. I used a Sporn harness when my dog ran alongside the bike, and I tend to use it when we go for any…

I think the weights will vary a lot from person to person depending on what you're used to. Just make sure they're providing some resistance and not mega easy. Press ups are hard work, but I do love body-weight exercises!

Yay, nice one!

arm raises with side lunge = killer!

Yeah I wondered if I was hurting myself tbh, but seems everyone has gone through the same. Good to know!
-
Good god woman! Fancy using an entire workout as a warm up!!! LOL. You rock x

Good to know it gets better haha!! It's the calfs that are the worst thing for me, the rest is like you say, a challenge, but do-able. Good on you for getting so far :)
