I have just started low carb and trying for total (not net) 30-50g per day. Last night I had salmon topped with pesto & parmesan baked in the over, with a side of peppers and mushrooms fried in butter and philadelphia cream cheese stirred in. This was yummy and filling. I'm with you on this......totally. Ha ha. What I'm trying is to log everything really honestly on MFP. Previously if I gave in, I just stopped logging so it kind of helped me to forget and not face my issues. I am now logging everything (I know I won't do this forever but I need to at the start) and then really asking…

I did exactly this too. I find that eating more protein heavy snacks and meals during the day helps. As does staying well away from alcohol - my biggest problem is that small glass of wine (even if it is within my cals allowance) that leads to salty snacks (and going WAY OVER my cals allowance!!)

^^ This. I also found that I was craving stuff at night. I've started to have a late afternoon high protein snack (chicken, tuna, cottage cheese or yogurt etc) and I have found this really helps me. Only being doing it this week though so just hoping the affect lasts!! ha ha.

I just downloaded this and am confused. I am overweight and it shows my BMI at 29 which is right. However, the body fat % is showing at 19% - that seems low. Is it? I've never had my body fat measured before so I'm not sure? Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Hello I'd really like to join please count me in. Start weight for September: 164lb Goal weight for end of September: 160lb (I am only planning to lose this slowly!) my eventual aim is 140lb but I'm in it for the long haul this time.....
