  • I say BS! I have always run to lose weight. When I first started a couple of years ago, I was 38DDD and 180lbs. Yes, I had to find a fantastically engineered sports bra that wouldn't cut into my shoulders, but I found one at ****s. That said, I am now 155lbs and 36DD. "The girls" wouldn't have gotten smaller (and neither…
  • ^^THIS I did wait until 6 months old, but then I let my kiddos (all four of them) cry. It was the best thing I did for them. They did well with the structure and routine. It gave me sanity too and I didn't feel like I was walking on pins and needles around a sleeping baby. Congratulations on the new little one and nice job…
  • I had four kids 5,5,6 and 8 at the time of the surgery. They were independent (which was helpful). I was able to hide my drains from them by putting them in a sling under my clothes. I slept in a recliner for a couple of weeks, but I was cooking and getting kids ready within a couple of days and I went to one of my kids…
  • I had a tummy tuck after my twins. The tuck replaced the the C-section scar. The tummy tuck scar is all that is left.
  • There are a lot of different running programs out there. I would try to find one to give you some direction. If you can jog 2 miles now, you are at a great place. I went from nothing ( think former discus thrower here, not a sprinter) to 25K in four months. I think you might be past the couch to 5K program, but it is good…
  • I love it! From the mouths of babes!
  • Four kiddos in 3 1/2 years including one set of twins and one C-section did a number on my stomach! The verticle muscles in my stomach were separated by a good four inches. I literally ran my butt off to get back to pre-pregnancy weight by running a 25 K- still had way too much skin and "stuff" hanging around my middle. I…
  • If you are running along a road, run on the "wrong side" of the road- just be very careful of traffic. If you look at any road, the road "crowns" in the middle for drainage with the edges of the road being lower than the center of the road. If I only run on the left side of the road, my hip hurts badly. I run down and back…
  • I was a 38DDD after having kids. I LITERALLY had to sweat them off with a lot of running. I am now down to a comfortable 36D.
  • I will not do a "diet" if I feel deprived. I love chocolate and ice cream. I found the Klondike 100 calorie ice cream snacks to be yummy. Every morning when I log my exercise and breakfast, I add the ice cream bar for a snack. It is my way of making sure to save those calories from my day and it gives me something to look…
  • OK, stepping in for the "girl rules" here. Please do not run someplace secluded by yourself! We live near a running trail, I will not run on it by myself except on Saturdays when there are a lot of people out. It is very unnerving to meet someone on a secluded trail when you are by yourself. I choose to run in the morning…
  • A couple of years back I was a 38DD and training for a 25K. At the time I was wearing two sports bras with different strap designs to keep the straps from making my shoulders raw. Then, I found Champion style #6843 at ****'s Sporting Goods. Let's just say that there is some serious engineering involved in this design. It…
