Hello! 32, working as a lab assistant in the evenings and going to school full time during the day. Sometimes it's tough, but it is do-able! I am soooo looking forward to summer break, no school just work. that is going to be a vacation!!

Those of you with food 'texture' issues may not like these. I bought two bags once and had to throw one away. They are more 'rubbery' than regular pasta and even though I never thought myself to have an issue with food texture, these just made me want to barf. But to each their own!

Losing weight to ride again is one of my motivations  I used to do Dressage competitively as a junior rider about 10 - 15 years ago. I put on a LOT of weight since then. I really miss it. I would LOVE to start taking riding lessons again. I'm hoping to get under 200 lbs too before I start doing that again, but it is…

My first job was a cashier at target. HATED it! Of course after that I ended up cashiering/customer service for a sporting goods store for awhile (even ended up being the customer service desk manager). I NEVER want to work in retail again. :drinker: p.s. yes to all of your complaints, I'm sure I've thought of them all…

mine is the interpretation of the word 'lucky' in Irish Gaelic. I've always been proud of my Irish heritage and this is my 3rd 'Irish' themed tattoo. I have 5 all together. I always said that when I get down to goal weight I am going to get a large rib tattoo on my left side. I want it to incorporate some lyrics from the…

I'm in school for medical laboratory sciences so hopefully I can explain how the testing works! The difference between pernicious anemia and regular vitamin B-12 deficiency is that there are cells in your stomach that lack intrinsic factor, which is required for B-12 absorption. If someone has pernicious anemia they lack…

Hi guys! I'm 5'6" and started MFP in January at 265. I am currently 246. This currently my 2nd go around with MFP. I lost 40lbs successfully last year but gained all of that back plus 5 lbs! So i'm at it again! I have mini goals for myself too. My first one is to be 225 by mid-may, when school gets out for summer. At that…

I'm 5'6" my initial goal weight is to get down to 150. I'll have to re-evaluate when I get there because it's been so long! If I need to 'tone up' at 150 I would probably aim for 140 or so. I've been as low as 135 before but I was all hips and still wearing 9/10 jeans. My upper body was quite thin though and you could see…

You look so great!!! awesome work

↑↑↑ Agree with this!! My husband has consistently said that he doesn't know how he'll feel with me 'not being squishy' and that he is afraid that I would feel like leaving him once I'm fit. I know he'll be fine, however, because he has seen me much thinner (when we got together), but I know how that goes. Also, my husband…

I have this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002J0RG2O/ref=rcxsubs_mys2_product_title When I went in search of a protein powder I didn't want one that was dairy based. The Lifetime Life's Basics protein powder has a lot of good reviews on amazon. I decided to get the unsweetened vanilla powder because I was planning on…

mine is set at 1690 for losing 2 lbs/wk at an active fitness setting. I'm not 'active' by any means (i'm a student and am either sitting in a classroom all day or sitting at my computer desk studying) but I wanted more calories on non-workout days. On workout days I usually eat 2000 - 2100 calories.

Congrats on your huge loss, I can't wait to have the same result :-) If you are concerned about dairy being part of a protein shake, try this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002J0RG2O/ref=rcxsubs_mys2_product_title It's a plant based protein powder that is gluten free and dairy free. I LOVE it! The brand has several…

...mal format, consists of two parts: the character, or char-... full sentence: the logarithm of a number, which is written in decimal format, consists of two parts: the character, or characteristic, and the mantissa. from my "Clinical Chemistry: techniques, principles, correlations" text book. fun stuff!!

I just got this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002J0RG2O/ref=rcxsubs_mys2_product_title Soy and gluten free. Unsweetened so you have to add it to other things, doesn't taste too great on its own. I made a protein shake the other day with honey greek yogurt, regular almond milk and strawberries. It was yummy!!

I'm on the 'I think they're horrible' bandwagon. I didn't mind the flavor so much but it was the texture that got me. kinda slimy and rubbery... yuck!!
