Heat keeps me away from running or slows my pace. But I also think the body acclimates and helps endurance. We had a recent heat wave spell -- since I have no A/C at home, I made the choice to not run.... have to listen to my body. I think the cold can change the pace too... especially with breathing in the cooler air. But…

Advocate at a Non-Profit agency. My last day will be end of November. Getting married and moving overseas, so my full-time job then would be getting and staying fix, while exploring the area.... Sounds so good!

just a suggestion: if you and husband share same amount of calories, after inputting inot one diary, get the total and add as quick calories. ...ack, I just reread postings -- different portions... right.

I've tried similar product -- the smell really throws me off (have to cook/rinse really well) too.

Any salty snacks (crackers, chips)

Not a fan of apple pie. Or potato chips. My friend looked at me the other day and asked me if I am really American. Also, whipped cream.

I'm only doing it from top of my head: Assuming that a packet of hot cocoa is about 2 TBSP: 1 packet of hot cocoa 2 TBSP of wheat flour or equivalent Pinch of baking soda Pinch of salt 2 TBSP of vanilla greek yogurt Mix it all together in a microwave safe bowl or mug. Pop into the microwave for a minute. Check on it -- it…

The woes of illness! I usually find myself going for toast/bread or crackers. Carb Danger Zone! Also I make myself a cold blast "tea" -- ginger, garlic, lemon, cayenne pepper, and drink as much of that as I can. But if I'm having stomach woes, I usually go for Dreyer's Mint Chip ice cream (the one that is white, not…

I love them. I don't think they're made from potatoes (which I am not a fan of, btw), so these do help curb my "chips" craving. I love anything salty! My favorites are Sea Salt.

Proofreading other people's writing (menus, books -- you'd be surprised at how many typos there are in published books! - and general stuff). Good at being silent and then making a witty comment, which usually suddenly silences everyone else before they get into laughing fits.

The Kind Diet is a great book with recipes in it. I recommend it too. It helps you work out the nutrition that you'll need -- because one mistake of becoming vegan/vegetarian is not having enough of it. I personally prefer vegetarianism. Do I loose weight easily on it? No. I think one possible issue is that when one is…

If you haven't already, you should read the Sleeping Beauty trilogy that was penned by Anne Rice -- she wrote under a different name, which is A. N. Roquelaure. These are ORIGINAL. I read this long before Twilight and all (actually about 20 years ago), and I still remember the series. I would definitely read it again!

What a wonderful success story!

Hi Hunibun, I'm also transitioning over to a GF diet, as my fiance has Celiac. Since we both love cooking, I'm learning to substitute items so to make recipes GF. It's quite fun. I love making Cauliflower Pizza crust. It's real easy. -- Hubby-to-be is really looking forward to trying it out (He lives in Australia, I'm here…

Ok, I'll be happy to accept your nomination for President. VP do more work than President anyway ;) Yep, I sure miss BIKRAM YOGA/HOT YOGA. Have done to a couple studios rates found via Groupon (good for new customers). I stopped due to the good old budget... being involved in a wedding, AND getting married in yet another…

I'd like to know the secret too! Since it appears the join date was just last month. :D

Great tips both of you. Yes, I'm an extreme multitasker sometimes (I even handled a TTY call, VP call, IM, and talking to a consumer all at ONCE!). Carrying a piano on a run would give a fab arm work out, but might not be good on the back. Rain, I appreciate the crossfit routine. Wouldn't like doing that in my place, and…

Do I talk too much? Seems my posts never get any replies. LOL. *waves* HI!

Hi Rain. ;) My favorite olympic sport is the mad McDonald gash after the wins. Okay, they don't really show that on t.v. but they're all over twitter and facebook. Pretty rad. The message is: You CAN eat (or drink) whatever you want... after you work for it. Do I practice that? No, not always. But I try. Like Rain, I sit…

I have: -Nose (small gem) -Two in left (had a 3rd one but it closed) lobe, 1 in right lobe (2nd one closed) -Used to have cartilage piercing in left ear. -Belly piercing (pierced it 3xs, now closed because I kept losing the barbell - one time got it ripped out snowboarding, hah!) -Tragus piercing which I took out a few…

I drink Bragg's ACV dilated with a little apple juice and water. (or you can follow Tone It Up's Meta-D recipe). I noticed a huge difference in my belly's definition (water retention) and I believe it helps with my skin conditions. I sort of stopped and did notice how it benefited, so I'm going back to doing it.

MFP says 1200 if you weren't factoring into any additional exercises, so I would recommend that you factor in your workouts, and you would see the daily MFP calorie goal adjusting per your daily inputs.

I go back and forth. Have any of you run in the morning AND evening? Also, for those of you running 3 or more miles, can I get tips on how to map out your runs? I try to take a loop in taking streets to get from and back my house, but always seem to be under 2.5 miles or so. (I get paranoid about getting lost or needing to…

Sounds so good....... I hope I don't seek in extra pepperoni into my mouth.... I'll do the wiggle dance as I do to burn off those calories :D

I like your style. I won't tell anyone else. :) Loved your introduction, feel free to add me.

Good tips. I'm getting back into running after several years of sedentary work lifestyles (and extreme schedules), so I know how hard it is to getting started, and how easy it is to be discouraged. I don't really do this anymore but I used to visualize while running that "at the goal/finish line" I could have a delicious…
