  • Oh yes, weekends are hard on me too! I tell myself that this is my time and I can do whatever I want. All the things I enjoy - sadly at the top of the list is eating food that tastes good. I know we could do it if we just practice. Let's make this weekend be a good one. Good luck to us on this 3 day weekend.
  • That's very good advice.
  • You certainly have started quite a conversation with this topic. It obviously is something that we all have to deal with, on one end or the other. I must admit I did laugh in disbelief when I read your post. Like something you'd see in the movies, but not a family reunion. She definitely hit your hot spot. I'm curious, did…
  • I also finished the challenge yesterday. I couldn't post all weekend because I was on vacation with no internet connection. I must admit, it was difficult towards the end, and I too had to split my reps at times to do 100 at a time, and sometimes 20 at a time. I'm not as good as you 'Race2the9'. I will not be repeating…
  • 150 down. 80 remaining. I'll do those at lunch and/or this evening. My legs are feeling very fit. :-)
  • So it's a family affair. :-)
  • Accomplished all 220 this morning before breakfast. I could hardly believe it! So far I've accomplished every day and with only 4 more days to go, I believe I will go all the way. Yesterday I decided to do 50 stomach crunches, and today I did 55. I'm going to see how this goes with the same principles we are using for the…
  • I'm still being diligent and doing my daily squats. Today I've accomplished 80, with 100 to go. Woohoo!!
  • Don't despair. Just start where you left off and keep up the challenge. You can do it girl!
  • 150 completed!! I did 50 this morning, 50 this evening, then another 50 just a few minutes ago. So far I'm keeping up with this challenge. No soreness. I had my husband check out my squat, and he said I was definitely going down far enough. So all is good here. Glad we're all still in this. :-)
  • Sounds like everyone is doing well with these squats. I am, as well. 130 down and my legs are feeling firmer. Sweet!
  • Loving today's rest. Trying not to think about tomorrow's 130!!!!

  • One more day of squats completed. Gonna love that day of rest tomorrow. :-)
  • 105 squats accomplished this morning all in one setting. I actually timed it and it took 7.06 minutes.
  • Amazing results! Thanks for sharing.
  • Done!
  • Your post is so inspirational; thank you for sharing. You must be on cloud 9. Life has truly changed for you. I can't imagine the heartache of losing a spouse. I'm so glad you have decided to go on living a full life - she would be so proud of you!
  • This morning I completed 30 of my 75 squats. Will finish the rest this evening. Feeling it but still doable. :-)
  • I absolutely love your story - and to think you are almost down 75 lbs now! You are an inspiration. Congratulations and keep up the good work. :flowerforyou:
  • You are doing so well - keep up the good work. You are a motivation to all of us. :flowerforyou:
  • I am enjoying the day of rest. I understand this challenge really works and I'm going to follow it to the "T". Yes, my prayers go out to those affected by the tragedy in Boston yesterday.
  • I hope this profile picture isn't really you, because this girl looks like she needs to gain at least 15 lbs. When I was a young girl, I was on the verge of anorexia and I used to binge too. If this is you, please get some help. Reach out to someone who can help. I can remember people telling me that I was just too skinny…
  • Day 3 complete! Now for a day of rest tomorrow. So far, so good. :-)

  • Day one done. Upon waking on day two, my quads reminded me of day one, and I immediately did my 55 for day two. So two days down, 28 to go. :flowerforyou:
  • Yes, you should see how it goes. If your knees don't get better after awhile, and the pain worsens, I'd be afraid you may be over doing it. Take it slow if you want to do the squat challenge. Good luck !
  • You actually need to do different exercises for your stomach. Maybe there's a crunch challenge in MFP?
  • I'm in. Lord help me! LOL!
  • I'm so sorry for all your loss. You are right that you have to pick yourself up and continue to live a full life, not only for your sake but for the sake of your daughter. You want to be that positive role model in her life. I know depression is a hard thing to deal with; I've definitely been there. I see you want to lose…
  • Sticking to the plan. I do well during the day at work, but want a snack in the evening. Weekends are hard.
  • Yes, that is good advise from GODfidence. Also, as we age and have children, our bodies change and we can't get back to the same figure. Although you are a size 4 bottom, that is tiny! And you say you are muscular - that is why you weigh 143. I know you don't need me to tell you that musce weighs more than fat. I'm sure…
