Definitely take a few days of rest if it's bronchial. I made the mistake of pushing on and I ended up with severe bronchitis!

Success doesn't come without blood, sweat and tears. I am sure everyone has had that "I want to give up" moment and a lot of people have. However, the people that didn't are the ones that you see success stories for. When I get frustrated and want to give up, I just look at the success stories and sometimes even write them…

I was like that. I wouldn't run unless someone was chasing me and even then it was questionable. I started with the C25K and it helped me a lot. I just had to make myself figure out how to fit it in. I started getting up earlier and running in my neighborhood (which, at 5:00 in the morning any neighborhood can be sketchy)…

Are you BFing? I would talk to your doctor before you take anything. Maybe up your protein a bit and add some more calories? I

I saw this episode on 20/20. Your wife is amazing and very inspiring! Great work to the both of you!!

I have hypothyroidism and I have had it for 12 years, but I was borderline so I didn't really have to be put on any medication. Well, after my wedding I gained 20 pounds and felt miserable. For the past year, I have been on my thyroid meds and they have helped me feel a bit better and I've lost just about everything I put…

I actually don't mind running. I used to hate it before I started and couldn't figure out why anyone would run, then I started C25K and slowly I've grown to enjoy it. It's a great release after a stressful day at work. :)

THANK YOU!

It's only been a week! Give it time! I know it's frustrating when you don't lose at first, but you can't give up on it yet. Your body is adjusting, I didn't lose my first or second week either. It takes time so unfortunately you do have to have patience! Good Luck!

Check out the New Balance ones, I have one and it wasn't to expensive. Good luck.

You probably want to add some fruit and veggies in there as well, it sounds like you are eating to little. If you are working out you should be eating at least 1200 calories so that you don't get dizzy or burn yourself out. Try having some fruit in between meals or snack on some veggies, I like edamame(sp?) pods to snack…

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty new at using the weight machines myself (or any type of weight lifting), so I think it works out for me for now! Eventually I think I will graduate to the free weights and start really weight training. Alyssa, I know exactly what you mean about people not following the rules! I have had a few…

I usually allow myself to have small portions of chocolate, which is what I usually crave. If I don't, my mood swings become ten times worse. If you are feeling guilty after eating these things, try doing an extra 15-20 minutes at the gym. I usually try to do that as well if I've overindulged, or eaten something "bad".…

It does get better! Once you get into the habit of logging and looking at what you are eating, y ou start to think before you eat and make better choices. MFP was really difficult for me in the beginning, I had so many days and weeks where I wanted to give up and stop logging. I kept going and I'm almost halfway to my…

It takes awhile to get used to making "good" food choices! I had a hard time with it at first, but everyone is right you can't make excuses for yourself. My husband is a natuarlly thin guy who can eat whatever he wants and not gain a pound, but I on the other hand gain 10 if I even look at a piece of cake without working…

Other end of the spectrum, I had a big wedding with almost 200 people. I had all the bells and whistles and I loved every.single.minute. of it. It was a lot of money but to me it was worth it and the best day of our lives. it's really all about how you feel and how you are. Good Luck in planning and deciding :) and…

I would definitely say try to eat more! It seems like you have really good meals but maybe throw some fruit or veggies in between. That should give you some extra energy. Welcome and good luck!

Why not eat after 7pm? You aren't eating full meals or any fruits and veggies. What you have on your diary is not enough to stustain you. You should be eating at least 300 calories per meal, then have some snacks in between. It's a matter of balancing your meals and not starving yourself :)

Great Progress!

Since I've started MFP and realized how many empty calories are in beer and alcohol I have definitely cut my consumption way way down. I don't drink a glass of wine every night, however maybe every couple of weeks I get a little crazy. I work it off the next day though and make sure I count whatever I drank. I'm not trying…

I'm a little bit older than you are and I didn't finish college (community college, yes but don't have my bachelors). I have worked my butt off for the past ten years to get where I am now. I have had jobs where i got serious anxiety (sounds a lot like what you are going through) but unfortunately you do have to "suck it…

I used to get up at 4:30 and run and I loved it! We had to move and I don't really like to run in the dark in my new neighborhood, I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to it soon. Good luck!

I got mine at a boutique and it was a Magge Sottero. Itw as 1,400.00 and to me it was worth every penny. I love it and still love it. I'm planning on having it made into christening gowns/tuxes for my future children.

I'm really sorry that you are hurting, this will hurt for awhile, but being a Mom you have to put on your big girl panties and put your son first. However, I've read some of your posts..and you are 33? You sound like a very YOUNG 33. I think it's really time to stop crying over some jerk who threw you and YOUR SON out of…

Sure is! It's awesome. All kinds of music to run, exercise or spin to. Love it :)
