Crap! I didn't do it. How's that for a first day?? I spent 3.5 hours outside doing yard work and decided that was good for today. I'll see what you have in mind for tomorrow!

Okay, just found your challenges and of course I'm joining on "I hate lunges day!" Hello everyone.... if you can do it.... I can do it!
-
I do the same. I exhaust myself doing them from my toes and then switch to my knees. Something odd about push ups - one day you just kinda break through. I found the same thing with running. Just keep pushing... it'll cllick!

Far out... I started yesterday!!

Adam, I wish I knew the right things to say to you but the reality is I have no idea what it's been like for you. So I won't pretend to understand completely. What I think I can relate to is change. We've all been faced with change at some point in our lives and with how hard it is to make change, especially big ones. I…

Hey my Momma always said, "If you've got it, flaunt it!" Just snap your fingers gurlfriend and cop an attitude!

I'm 116 pounds and I didn't think 1200 was enough food for me. I graze all day long. So I put my settings at sedentary and maintenance for 1440 calories before exercise. I think you have to listen to your body because you know it best. If you are confident you are eating well, it's up to you to decide. These numbers are…

``Pardon? A boyfriend? Gad I don`t remember when I last had only 'A' boyfriend. I usually have at least three and you didn't know this because I don`t discuss my private life.``

Love quinoa!! I just discovered cocoa nibs! (sometimes called caoca nibs) They are from the unsweetened, unprocessed cocoa bean. Tastes like unsweetened dark chocolate (my fav). They are a superfood and are crazy good for you as an antioxidant to clean your blood and arteries and is a natural mood elevator/antidepressant.…

Hahaahahaha.... wiping away tears! I'm sure Mr Happy will enjoy smiling up at you again!

I'm sending you a cyber hug so tight you can barely breath. "Okay, Brenda, please, I can't breath!" "Oh, sorry." Deep breathe little sister, you are not alone! Best, Brenda

Amen to that!.... People don't see she has a fun-hearted sense of humor - love her as she is!! Uh-hem, because that's what God wants you to do.
-
Hell ya... but I prefer a smart *kitten* - so let's move you from one to the other! Fun thread and you have a great attitude!

Wow, there's a beautiful woman under there, finding her wings! Good for you sister!
-
Oh now this is inspiring! Going to try it with unsweetened almond butter, some unsweetened shredded coconut (which is plenty sweet to me), cocoa nibs (a superfood) and gluten free oats.

Exactly, it's not parent bashing at all. It's not accepting adult child abuse. There's a difference.

That's absolutely the way it goes... it's called deflection. If she can put the focus on you, she can build herself up as the center of sympathetic attention. And she's so good at manipulating people that no one will believe you that she's done this. Classic.

This is good advice regarding time and distance, now that you know what it is. I would add... know that it's her and not you! You can't fix her. She can't either. Save yourself.

Wow, I never expected to see this topic on a fitness site. I'm a member of the daughters of narcissistic mothers site. My mother and I haven't spoken in three years... it has to be that way. May I suggest a book? The Wizard of Oz and other Narcissists. For me, I have yellow highlighter all through the book. It was a huge…

I like this idea, thank you.

Well Bikram yoga has been in wide practice since the 1970s. Bikram Choudhury is behind this practice that is under copy-write. He is in his mid 60s now and is a recognized Indian yoga guru who started to practice yoga when he was three. Studios all over the world have certified instructors. Most holistic healers will…

I do overnight oats too. I use all kinds of grains, seeds, nuts and fresh, dried or frozen fruit to keep it interesting. It turns out to be fewer calories than granola and I buy at the local bulk food place, so much cheaper too. I tend to do batches for about three days. On rush days, I scoop some out into a lunch…
