I recommend lifting weights, about 3 or 4 times a week to start. I got some work out routines from bodybuilding.com. They show you good form. Also do cardio 4 or 5 times a day. Start slow and build your time spent and intensity. Try different things, try to find something you find fun, so you will be motivated to keep at…

Wow, strong women here, want to get there too! I suspect I have poor form on squat and deadlift.....need advice. I also find going in to free weight room at YMCA a bit intimidating, with regulars there, but I just do it anyway. Also, I don't have anyone to spot me when I bench....but I am getting stronger!

I am having the same thing happen! I started taking a multivitamin for women and fish oil. I am making sure to get enough protein, even though calories may not always be up to goal. I think that large amounts of life stress contribute to this as well.

I feel the same way, it is way harder to run, as opposed to using an elliptical. I can last about 1/2 mile, very slow pace, but really want to work up to a 5K by November. I hope it becomes easier and less painful with more weight loss. Maybe try to supplement with other cardio activity to improve your endurance and work…
