I would like to join this thread. I started MFP a few summers ago and have been on a rollercoaster with the same ten pounds. I started my own summer challenge last week (On June 5 I weighed at 188.8, Today my weight was 184.4) I would love to stay motivated with the challenges. SW-188.8 CW-184.4 GW-155 :flowerforyou: My…

We have a family trip in a few weeks. I have been working on losing 10lbs. before the trip...they are the same 10lbs. that have plagued me for a year! I feel like Raynn1...For once, I'd like to feel like the one that didn't let myself go....I read the post on em2wl link...I so could be "that girl" whose metabolism moves at…

I've been reading the posted links. My TDEE is 2327 and my BMR is 1923. I want to be sure I've got this right. I need to reset and eat my TDEE 2327 for 6-8 weeks then cut by 15% to start losing (if I should gain weight). Exercise should be light, 30 min. walks etc. I do have to watch my carbs. due to a pre-diabetic scare…

One of my "friends" from another site recommended this group. As I am reading your posting, I am getting excited about the concept of eat more weigh less...I truly have been on a yo-yo the past few years...I can never get past a 10lb. plateau. My diet doesn't change much and I have been trying to eat about 1200-1500…

I am new to this site but not new to MFP...It took me 5 mos. to lose 10lbs. and 2 mos. to gain them back. I literally would eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch all year long. I am excited to find out more about "eat more weigh less". Any help is appreciated. Eava

I am new to this group but not new to MFP. I've been on a roller coaster with losing/gaining the same 10lbs. I need to work on limiting my carbs. I appreciate the sharing.

Hello Everyone. I am hoping to make this the summer I meet my goal. It takes me so long to lose...I tend to do the yo-yo dance. I have been told by my doctor to lose the weight as I am starting to be pre-diabetic. I was in the 200's for almost ten years. My highest weight being 214. I am now down to 186...that has taken me…

I made it out of the 200's but am struggling to get out of the 180's. I understand how it feels to be int the 200's. I would love to join your group. :flowerforyou:

Hi, Are you starting a new group? I am at that stage too...I've been on MFP for two years and have lost 16 lbs. I've been yo-yoing the same 5-8 lbs. for a year!!! I did have a scare...my doctor gave me 6 mos. to get my numbers in order...I am heading into pre-diabetes. My numbers didn't rise so I am okay, right now! I do…

I have also been warned about being pre-diabetic, I was doing well a few months ago and now seem like I am gaining weight b/c the doctor told me I had until April to get my numbers in order...the stress of going to the doctor this month is making me eat more. I am glad I discovered this thread. I appreciate the great ideas!

Google CalorieKing. It has a huge listing of foods.

My hubby is supportive but he doesn't know my exact weight. I've raised my boys to never do two things....Ask a woman her age or weight. LOL:blushing:

Are they chest pains or heartburn pains? You should check with your doctor, Sweetie.

I put vaseline on my lips every night before I go to bed. Do you wear lipstick? My lips very rarely dry out.

I have been on medication since I was 40...um, 13 years ago. In the past 13 years I have gained 60 lbs. and now have lost 30 lbs. It is a struggle but can be done. I am working on my second "30". I am currently trying to incorporate The Belly Fat Cure diet. It limiits sugar grams and carbs. I could have written your first…

If you can limit yourself to one piece...go for it. Sometimes you need to give in to your cravings so you don't overeat everything else in the house. Get back on the horse tomorrow. We also need to vary our calories from time to time to rev up metabolism. Good luck!

If you can walk in place, Leslie Sansome Walking videos/dvd's are great...How about Pilates or Yoga? All on dvd or videos or satellite tv. good luck...I know your pain...:flowerforyou:

So true...I've had some co-workers who lost major weight...they weren't always pleasant people to be around...after their weight loss, they still weren't/aren't pleasant people to be around. Dr. Phil had a good book about working on the inside and how it can help.

I added Jenny McCarthy's You Shape...changes it up a little. good luck

I am having a cup of tea around 8pm...No more eating after that! You are suppose to not eat anything 2-3 hours before you go to bed. Hope this helps...try some almonds too.

Exercise sure makes a difference in how I feel and how I lose weight. Your friend will be in for a rude awakening when she hits her 50's (if she hasn't already).

Let me know too!

Thanks for sharing everyone. All the women in my family have thyroid problems. I started re-reading the book suggested by MzMolly...hope to see some results. I definitely will check with my dr. about adding any herbals....he is very proactive that way. :smooched:

Just get back on track at your next meal and the next day. WE ALL have those days, no matter how much we try to prepare ourselves for eating out it is never easy. You are here with us and that says a lot. Lots of luck to you!

I've been on thyroid med. for 13 years. I would be interested in any natural remedies...anything you can post would be helpful. I guess I always thought that there was no way to replace the tsh hormone naturally...

You've done great with your weight loss. Summer will soon be over...no more bbq's!
