It could be called big pile of goo, I think I'd still want it in my belly.

I have found that with alot of recipes. I found a corn, red pepper, and orzo recipe the other night and it said it served 6 so I halved it because there's only 3 in my family. I still ended up with 6 servings. Who eats a whole cup of orzo as a SIDE DISH? That's alot. I'd rather have a cup of the veggie I made, which is…

Oh.My.God. I just had to wipe drool off my keyboard.

I freeze cooked eggs all the time. They freeze fine, it's the warming them back up that you have to be careful. I find if I let them thaw first, then low and slow in the microwave, checking often. it's when you zap the crap out of them on reheat that they become rubbery.

Broil to me is something I do in my oven, using the broiler...Grilling is done outdoors..on a grill.

Are you SURE you're sedentary? I have a desk job as well, 40 hours a week, but I still have my activity level set to lightly active, AND use a HRM to log my exercise and eat back calories and I'm STILL losing weight.
-
I have always worked out, before the sunrise on an empty stomach. If I eat or drink ANYTHING (besides a little water during the workout) I get very nauseous. If it works for you, do it, if you find you need something maybe try having just a little something to get you through the workout.
-
That's exactly what I do. Sounds like you got it. :drinker:

I love the zesty salsa wheat thins! I have to hide the box because otherwise the entire box disappears in 2 days.
-
I don't think it's strange at all. I tend to actually log in my entire next week on Sunday afternoons. Between work and appointments and a kiddo in sports, it just makes my week so much easier when I now what I'm eating and what I will be fixing for dinners all week long.
-
I'm maintaining too, and like you, I feel so alone somedays. I'm currently messing with the numbers to find my "sweet spot" as I entered maintenance a couple of months ago, but yet have lost 2 more pounds. I think partially I'm just scared to eat more because I've been in deficit mode for almost 2 years with the odd week…
-
I can't explain why, but I can tell you that you're not alone. my entire weight loss was like that, up for a few weeks, then back down lower than where I started at the beginning of the month. The only think I can think of is that I slowly start retaining water over the month because the sudden drop in weight usually…

teehee the search feature and google are seriously my friends. I use the search feature ALOT. I would say 99% of the time, I find the answer I'm looking for and if I don't, then I turn to google. Like someone else said though, if they only ever used the search feature, there would be no need for a discussion board. There's…

I disagree, I use Quaker old fashioned and I find there is a big difference in weight vs. volume. I always weigh them.
-
HRM. I have a Polar FT4, best $80 bucks I've ever spent.
-
Definitely the eating. I can drag myself out of bed at 4am 6 days a week to get a workout in, but I love just way to many foods so it seems I'm always wanting a little of this and a little of that.

nvm

Yes, but taking a quick glance through her diary from the past few weeks, after she's ate back her exercise calories she's ate pretty darn near her TDEE. That would be maintenance. If OP is truly "lightly active". My suggestion would be to first try not eating the exercise calories back, and yes, as many others have said,…
-
Maybe I misread, but if you're doing the TDEE - %, you're TDEE should already have your activity (workouts) figured in so you shouldn't be eating back your exercise calories.
-
^This.
-
DANG! I've been doing it all wrong, I eat the old fashioned kind of oats
-
I always weigh my food raw. There are so many variables that can effect the calorie count of the cooked item.
-
If you are eating back your exercise calories, your NET should equal your GOAL
-
Couldn't agree more! It shouldn't matter what age you are, if you have the right mindset, it is possible to accomplish this. I agree with the OP as well, it is easy. I've lost a total of 57 pounds since July 2011 and have been maintaining my current weight since November of this past year. I feel bad coming into the forums…

I am the exact same. I'm up at 4 am Mon-Fri and between 5 and 6 on the weekends. I can get so much more accomplished before the rest of the house is awake. During the week I'm usually in bed no later than 11:30 and weekend usually no later than 12:30. I never used to be a morning person but the past year of waking up early…

Ripped in 30 has 4 levels, 30 Day Shred only has 3. Other than that, they are pretty much the same.
-
When I did it the first time I did level 1 Mon-Fri for 2 weeks, level 2 Mon-Fri for 2 weeks ect..
-
Well I'm definitely sold!
-
I'm 5'1" Anyone can add me if they'd like.

and this...that just doesn't sound good. :noway:
