  • I've done that, it was the best s'mores ever.
  • You can add me. I lift and recently took up running after years of considering myself a "non runner". I'm actually starting to love it and hating the rainy weather we're having because it's keeping me from being outdoors.
  • I have subscribed to both and IMO Naturebox is far better then Graze. You can set it up to only be delivered every other month, and if you decide before you next box is due you can tell them to send it ASAP instead, or suspend it for a while if you get overstocked with snacks. You can pick your own snacks or let them pick…
  • ^^ This. And it really is one of the reasons i chose to lift at home and own my own elliptical.
  • I pop popcorn in coconut oil. nom nom nom
  • I know a lot of people on here are telling you what your employer is doing is illegal by not giving you a break but before you run off and get a lawyer, some states do not have laws regarding breaks. The state I live is one of them. Look up the law and be informed. http://www.dol.gov/whd/flsa/faq.htm
  • I never understand questions like this. You want to be smaller correct? decreasing inches = success. Don't focus on what the scale says.
  • Where you working out before you started doing the 30 day shred? Sometimes starting a new workout or even changing up your routine can cause a little bit of water weight.
  • wait, what? I'm trying to wrap my mind around how you think that works. If your intestines are behind your abdominal wall, how is it they're going to show when you flex your abs? Sounds like a layer of fat that's sitting on the muscles, hence why when you flex, that bulge doesn't move.
  • Same. I'm walking out the door anyways, what are they going to do to me if I take the whole cake?
  • Be prepared for a shock. I used to always use measuring cups and the first time I weighed it out, it was nearly DOUBLE the serving suggestion.
  • Did you create those recipes for the Spanish rice and refried beans yourself? I make both of those things from scratch quite frequently and my Spanish rice is less than a 1/3 of the calories for the same amount and my beans are less as well. I wouldn't trust someone else's "homemade" entry.
  • ^This exactly. I've been at maintenance for 6 months. I eat the same amount of food I did 2 years ago when I was 50 lbs heavier. It made it easier to go into maintenance. I didn't have to jump up my calories or anything, my weight loss just slowed down.
  • If it will get you to log accuratly and honestly, I say hide it. You have to honest with yourself. Yeah, sometimes I feel really guilty about certain things and I think "what will my mfp friends think if I actually log that?" but at the end of the day it's MY diary and I have to be honest with myself so it all gets logged.
  • Add things like olive oil to your cooking, nuts, peanut butter, things like that :)
  • I'm up at 4:30 am to workout. Was it hard at first? Very. But after a while your body gets used to it and I'm now at the point that even on the weekends I'm up really early. I like it though, I now get alot of things accomplished in the mornings before the rest of the house is awake. Like others of said, you just have to…
  • mmmmmm ice cream...... Wait, what was the question?
  • I was thinking the exact same thing! Awesome job!
  • I've noticed it. Now that I'm working on year #2 it's getting a little better, but I am definitly now one of those people who wear sweaters in the air conditioning because it is just to darn cold. And while I agree with the previous person to an extent about eating more to keep warm sort of idea, I eat, I can eat…

  • Sirloin and Shrimp, I get that everytime we go to Applebees. It's always good.
  • I am on here multiple times a day. Sent you a request.
  • Beat me to it ^^^^ This.
  • I'm 5' 1.5" (that half is important) was always around the 130-140 mark until about 2 years ago when i was at my heaviest (aside from my preganancy) at 173. I'm down to 115-120 now. Trying to just burn off the last layer of fat that won't seem to let go for anything. Feel free to add me! Always looking for new friends and…
  • It's kind of like a badge of honor though I think.
  • When I joined MFP last summer I'd already lost 43 lbs, but at the time I was using a different site and never really transferred to this site fully until this past February. I kind of wish my ticker showed my WHOLE loss and not just the last 12-15 lbs, but it was to late for me to change it at that point. I think you…
  • You're waist is above the belly button. It's where your body naturally bends.
  • Because those sites take into account your exercise. MFP doesn't and expects you to eat back those calories from exercise.
  • Right but if you went by scooby you wouldn't be eating at a cut forever. When you reached 125 you'd up your calories to maintenance which would be 1800. I do understand what you're saying. I've ran the numbers through many sites including those two many times for myself and when you look at them closely they're all saying…
  • No, if you do the math...15% of 1800 is 270. 1800-270=1530. If 1800 is to maintain then both sites gave you nearly identical numbers.
  • Haha! Great story. BTW I LOVE your dogs names!
