  • Good for you for signing up! 1/2s are a great distance to run because you really do have to train for them but you feel so good and proud of yourself when you're done. Plus race day atmosphere and events are awesome, so get excited! As for advice, find a source of accountability. A running buddy, a running group in your…
  • I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but you can always Youtube workout videos, like Zumba or kickboxing sessions, Jillian Michaels classes, etc. You would then be able to modify the workout and moves based on how your hip/leg was feeling. I've done these videos before when its too late to go to the gym…
  • Not weird. When i ran cross country in high school, during summer training, our coach would have us do "pool runs" just about everyday as a warm-up, cool-down, or even as a part of our workout if when we did so for 30+ minutes. If you can stay in running form, its a good way to get your muscles working (or slowing them…
  • Like a few people have mentioned, try asking if she would like to workout with you one day, or ask if she would like an "accountability buddy," or tell her about this website. See if you can motivate her to lose weight or eat better. Friends who don't share your excitement for your accomplishments do suck in that moment,…
  • Hey, feel free to add me. I've been wanting to start cycling. What bike do you have, and do you ride on the roads or do you have pathways/trails?
  • Way to go, lady! That's awesome!
  • I've been running in Brooks Adrenaline for about 10 years now. I couldn't ask for a better or more consistent shoe. The best advice I can give though would be to go to a specialist running store and talk to the people there. I've heard good things about just about every brand of quality running shoe, and those guys at the…
  • Feel free to add me! I could use some motivation as well!
  • Hi, I'm Katy. Good for you for getting into shape. My mum recently lost a lot of weight. She looks absolutely gorgeous (not that she didn't before) and she is so pleased with herself and confident. Plus, she just turned 60 this year. If my darling mother can, we all can! Feel free to add me!
  • Hi! I'm Katy. I live in Manchester. I also have a bikini problem, but I'm more concerned about my stomach area than anything else. Feel free to add me!
  • Hi Tiffany, I know what its like to have a sedentary job/commitment. I'm currently working on a dissertation that involves a lot of reading and writing (and sitting) in front of a computer. Feel free to add me. Maybe we can find ways to be a bit more mobile at work.

  • Hey I'm Katy from Manchester. I'm 24 but almost 25. I'd love to be friends!
  • Do you have a Morrisons nearby? I just tried the Morrisons brand Vegetable Sushi Selection in the grab&go section. It was surprisingly fantastic and priced between £1-2, depending on which one you get. It may be a little expensive to buy every day of the week, but every once and a while, I'd definitely recommended it.
