I'm 35 and since last year I've lost 20ish lbs...for the last 2-3 months my weight has sort of stayed the same. But I've also started strength training. The numbers aren't going down, but my clothes have gotten crazy loose and I've got muscles now!

I'm surviving on two pairs! And ones grey so every time I wear them I'm paranoid people are thinking "she JUST wore those!" I need to fit in my old jeans better. Congrats on your NSV!

I have to agree with the Debbie-downers. If he's as hot as you say he is, like universally hot and not quirky hot or sexy/ugly, he would've made his move by now. I hope I'm wrong though. Maybe he DOES think you're hot, but he's taken. It's great motivation for the gym though!

I find most guys have no idea what womens sizes mean. The guy was just trying to be funny. If I were her I would've put him on the spot and been like "Hey! I'm an 8! Are you trying to say I'm not an appropriate size for marriage?"

I LOVE going to the gym! If I didn't have kids I'd go everyday. I turn up my music and people watch all the while burning calories and/or building muscle. It's an awesome way to pass time. The endorphins are a plus too!

The OP wasn't saying it was harder...like the other poster said, it's just different. Anywho...I'm a SAHM. My 3 year old son goes to daycare during the day for speech models (he's speech delayed) and my 1yr old daughter and I are attached at the hip. Add me if you like!

Not obnoxious but just a little weird. A guy on the treadmill gives the occasional loud "yeah!" Like he's pumping himself up. But what do I care, I've got my headphones on. And sometimes in between songs when I CAN hear him I like to pretend he's cheering me on. :)

When I was on the nuvaring I gained weight. I was always hungry. I didn't have problems losing weight though. Exercise was all I needed

Heart rate monitors don't give an accurate reading for calories burned during strength training. You should google it. There's tons of stuff that will explain it better than I ever could. As for your cardio...30-40 mins of machines (switching up and what not) I wouldn't be surprised if you were only burning like 200-300.…

I've been on ortho-cyclen for the past 4-5 mos. I haven't gained any weight. Maybe try the mini pill (progesterone only pill) I believe the side effects are minimal. You'll have to be diligent about taking it at the same time everyday though.

I have a 32oz bottle of water with me at all times too. I try to fill it up and drink it at least 3x a day. I live in the DC area so traffic here is horrible. I always find myself stuck in traffic and desperately needing to pee! 1000 crunches? Yikes!

Late morning (9ish). At night I'm too tired and barely have the motivation to shower. When I work out in the morning I feel so good for the rest of the day.

From what you've mentioned as your goals i would raise the resistance and try to do the elliptical for longer or more often.
