I'm not an expert but I have lost and gained about 75+ lbs at least twice and am on my 3rd try at it. So far, each time I've lost has been different. The first time, I didn't track anything and just worked out...I was younger then. The 2nd time, I actually had to eat back all my burned calories to lose weight..weird, but…

I agree with this...start by making sure that your calorie burn is accurate by using a heart rate monitor. Then, stop eating back all or some of your exercise calories. That's how MFP is built but that doesn't work for everyone. You aren't too far from goal so the weight will come off more slowly.

I haven't read all the comments so this may be redundant but here is my advice: - Log your food...yes it's tedious but you need to know what you are consuming so you know what to burn - Don't eat at the school cafeteria...Buy your own food, get a cheap food scale and really know the qty's you are eating - Change your…

I don't count coffee or tea as these tend to dehydrate me more, which seems counterproductive. Do whatever works for you. Coffee and tea is better than sodas and other sugary drinks so, if that works for you...go for it. Just be easy with the sugar and creamer. Those can get me in trouble.

Move on but try to burn off those extra calories over the course of the next few days. It won't look like it balances out on your diary but that might help counteract the additional calories in the long run. It's not just calories in versus calories burned on a daily basis...it's overall so you still have time to work it…

I don't think she belittles them, she's trying to give them a reality check so they don't fail!

I don't think it's embarrassment, I think it's the need for privacy for the exact reasons you mentioned. It's nobody else's business what you are doing and if you want to keep it to yourself to avoid unsolicited comments and advice, do it! Good luck to you!

Anything by Nicki Minaj As soon as I posted this I saw the identical post before me!

Well, it's not like you added hair and will gain weight. Take the loss (if any) and move on. It's not like it'll make your weight loss higher every week, now will it?

Agreed...sometimes I think people who worry and post so much about what other people are doing are just frustrated with their own "lifestyle". Don't look at other diaries if you think you'll see someone "cheat", as you call it. BTW, eating something "normal" or going over your calories now and then isn't cheating...it's…

A "reality check" doesn't have to include nasty comments from people about the food choices you make. You might not like it much if a stranger posted on your wall that you eat like a pig and should be a ashamed of yourself. Well, maybe you're like me and don't really care what others think. :drinker: Either way,…

Ha Ha, too funny! I'll be honest, I eat a lot of junk and still lose weight. Well, not A LOT as far as qty's but I don't eat clean like people talk about and I eat alot of processed foods. Right now, we have to eat cheap and that's what works for our budget. You can do it, just have to watch portions. I know what you mean…

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/help/faq/327-how-do-i-adjust-my-goals-if-i-am-breastfeeding-or-nursing You'll actually add this under the food portion of your diary, not the exercise portion.

Grunting Too Much Weight Dropper Dude & Gallon Jug of Water Dude I'm a people watcher, I can't help it. And sometimes, I pick up some tricks for my own workouts.

Maybe if the real thing actually looked like the pictures I'd be more tempted but a Big Mac is more like a FLAT MAC these days.

I don't have any issue with drinking lots of water as long as it tastes good. I hate buying bottled water because it's so expensive but the water at work is now starting to taste like chlorine so I've cut back and I can tell that I'm feeling more sluggish because I've replaced it with diet soda. Think I'm gonna invest in a…

Once a week, usually on Saturday morning...every once in a while I'll get on a kick where I weigh myself every couple days but that usually leads to irritation since it varies so much and I don't do it for long.

LMAO!!! Awesome!!!!

Ok, I used to work in a supermarket and I would grab these off the shelf and just eat them whole. I never even washed them and I'm still alive.

I eat the whole thing...including the skin...always have!

Pringles and cheese (any kind)...I could eat a whole can of chips and a block of cheese in one sitting. The whole time knowing that it would make me sick as a dog the next day.

OMG, Amen...I'm sick of all the people complaining about one guys opinion. This is America, after all!

1. We have 45+ people sharing a fridge and 1 person brings an entire weeks worth of food every Monday and takes up half the freezer. The worst part is, she only eats about 1/2 the food each week but continues to bring another full load of groceries every monday. She currently has 8 frozen dinners, 6 frozen pizzas, a box of…

I'm a member of 2 gyms and pay about $60 a month for me and my son at both (combined). 1 gives an employer discount which makes a huge difference.

Honestly, I wouldn't count it. You probably burned some decent calories depending on how long this activity occurred but I'd just count it as a cushion for the rest of the week.
-
It will be hard not to be obsessed with it but I don't think about food all the time. When I'm hungry, then I think about what I want to eat that is good for me and within my calorie goals. Planning ahead doesn't work for me because if I'm craving something in particular, I want to have it. This doesn't work for everyone…

I don't consider anything off limits because that's just not realistic. And I prefer to call them Splurge Days/Meals...no cheating because I still log everything to keep a record of it.

I love the ignore feature so I don't have to look at those posts from narrow minded people that have nothing better to do than squabble with strangers online. The only thing I can say is hang in there. If you aren't in a position to leave this "man" there isn't much else you can do. Good luck!

I was actually just reading a book about this. I guess it depends on your body and how it reacts to wheat. My aunt swears by this method and she's been thing her entire life. Now, that doesn't mean it's related to cutting out wheat, since she's always been thin, but...I guess it works for some people.

I cannot agree with this and I hate when people say muscle weighs more than fat. 1 lb of fat still weighs the same as 1 lb of muscle. Same as feathers, rocks, etc, etc. It's the amount of space that each takes up that is the difference. 1 lb of muscle looks better than 1 lb of fat but the actual weight on the scale is…
