I assume an app would do the same thing that MFP does so if you don't want to buy the HRM just use the MFP calculation.
-
There are veried opinions on this but eating low on 1 day will not hurt you so don't freak out.
-
I'd say it would burn more calories but I wouldn't count any extra until you get the HRM and can adequately judge the difference. Counting this as 2 different exercises could backfire. Especially since most people say MFP over estimates calories burned.

I haven't owned or worn a bathing suit in 9 years and the only reason I had one then was to help with my sons swimming class at the Y. I do not swim and may never wear a bathing suit again. That is just me because I don't want to see myself in a bathing suit. There is no way I would subject other people to that!

Depends on how long the activity lasts. If it's a day where I'm doing lots of cleaning, yardwork, etc...I wear my HRM and calculate it. For those smaller jobs I don't count it.

There are actually entries in the food diary called "breastfeeding" (odd, I know). Choose the one that has the most accurate frequency/amount and add those calories. It could just be that you aren't eating enough. I wouldn't be too concerned about a gain one week. That WILL happen so prepare yourself for it now and then.

Not really "free" days but I do have times when I allow myself to eat over my calories. Yesterday was a prime example. Actually went way over what I planned but I still log it all so there is no question on weigh in day if I gain.

Looks like your biggest calorie item was 1.5 cups of Rice Flour but that doesn't really make sense to me as a dinner item. Is that number right?
-
I would count the walks as additional exercise if you are set at sedentary.
-
Double check your current and previous weights under MY HOME>CHECK IN>EDIT PREVIOUS ENTRIES There may be a number that isn't entered correctly.

It's there...just look at this post! You did it!

First of all, it's not the BMR that is being measured because she isn't laying down all day to get this calculation. The 3200-3400 would be her calories burned per day with activity which includes her BMR + activities. MFP estimates this on the GOALS page (top right), then subtracts 1000 calories from that to get your…

Today...it's the Lazy Song! Today I don't feel like doing anything. I just want to lay in my bed Don't feel like picking up my phone So leave a message at the tone Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything Nothing at all! :blushing:

Can you squeeze in a short walk tonight? That would earn you a couple hundred calories so you can eat a little more for dinner. Of course, if you go over a bit once in a while it won't kill you!
-
You should take that into consideration when setting your activity level. It should not be logged as separate exercise.
-
I'm cracking up at the number of people that responded to this post by explaining why you should or shouldn't eat your exercise calories. That really isn't what this post is about at all, now is it? I wish people would read the entire post and make sure they uunderstand it before they comment. It's frustrating to have to…

I have been hearing about this and think banning sack lunches is ridiculous until every school corporation can guarantee that what they provide is healthier than what I could send from home. My son has pizza, nuggets, tacos, etc. They had cookies twice last week and cupcakes one day! I don't think the school are qualified…

What is your activity level set to? If it's more than sedentary, it's probably already accounted for in your daily goal and should not be counted separately.
-
Sounds like those extra calories gave your metabolism a jump start. Sometimes it just needs that little kick!
-
The exercise goals under MY HOME>GOALS doesn't impact your calorie goal. The calorie goal only changes if you add completed exercise and calorie burn under the EXERCISE tab.

Maybe send her a list a available "packages", including the costs and see which one she might be interested in. Or, maybe you could make the pictures your baby shower gift to her.
-
I agree...I would probably make sure the days are in order...not work out monday and eat them all back on saturday...that might be pushing it! LOL

Those people that have an entry specifically for the 30DS created their own.

Yes, log everything so there is no question.

I cannot eat anything with eyes/head still on it! those places that serve whole fish??? Not a chance.
-
You should probably post this under the TECH SUPPORT board.

I have both...my scale is a cheap on from Walmart and I bought a Timex Unisex HRM from Amazon for about $35. Both work fine for me!
-
Are you eating your exercise calories? I didn't see that specifically, sorry if I missed that part. If not, just eat them and that should help. If you are alrady eating them, I'd say increasing your calories a little bit won't hurt. Good luck and congrats on your loss so far!

I think it says that she is going to do the best for herself, even if her doctor won't! I'm in a similar situation but I kind of like it because I don't have a doctor that blames every ailment on my weight, nor does she badger me about losing weight. Although she is very supportive when I do. I think you have to do what is…

Yes...or take the lowest number to be sure you don't overestimate.
