I am trying to teach myself to know when I am hungry and I am honestly not hungry all that often since increasing my protein. I started drinking a bottle of water before I eat a meal so I could determine if I was going for food out of boredom, emotions, or if I was really hungry. After 6 dedicated weeks, I can tell when I…

I have reduced my carbs considerably and have recently given up carbs after 2. I aim for 35 g, but try not to go over 50. I am exercising between 2 and 3 hours a day because I am highly motivated this summer. I sleep very well....with the exception of getting up to go to the bathroom due to increased water drinking...LOL.…

Perfect! You put it succinctly...I would rather lose fat than water and even weight. Muscle just makes us look leaner. Compare a 140 pound muscular woman to a 140 pound fat woman and you will notice a big difference. We lose fat by expending more energy then we take in via calories. Consuming healthy nutritional food will…

I am definitely in for 100 and I will increase my weight from 3 and 1/2 pounds to 5 pounds :)

It is a win-win situation for lots of functions and lemons are a great fruit. It can't hurt you, and even if you deny the science behind it, it is a win-win. I would definitely cleanse my teeth after it because lots of regular citric acid may harm the enamel on your teeth, but not sure how much is too much. Anything in…

1) I am not eating carbs after lunch to see if it is true you burn more fat. 2) Get in the habit of walking twice a day to extend metabolism...not running yet. 3) Stretch after every work out 4) Push ups! I will try even though they may be wimpy :) 5) I never do liquid calories. Thanks for the challenges!

Google "FULNESS FACTOR" and educate yourself about hunger and satiety. These high-FF foods, which include most vegetables, fruits, and lean meats, do a better job of satisfying your hunger. Read More http://nutritiondata.self.com/topics/fullness-factor/#ixzz20nEx4687

I accept the crunch challenge!

I agree to the no dressing part. I do not use dressing, but I am clever about putting lots of VARIETY and flavors into my salads. I now add fresh herbs from my garden and edible flowers. I got the idea from a woman who bags salad in Cape Cod. She has like ten different kinds of greens, herbs, and always an edible flower…

You look gorgeous in your wedding photo! I notice that you are at 29 pounds lost now..just one more to meet your goal...good for you! I also checked out your profile thinking I would find more wedding photos and I saw your Ironman pics. I am so envious! I would love to do that. I used to run, but the longest competition…

I totally understand. I think women sell ourselves short on what we can handle and what we can't. I have always told myself that when I finish my PhD I will be able to concentrate on myself. I woke up 37 days ago and had the sudden realization of what a load of crap I was selling myself. I recognized the irony of my…

Hi Brides, My wedding date is November 24, 2012. I have been eating clean and taking long walks everyday! My long walks are a great way to meditate, rid myself of stress, and to clarify wedding plans, etc. I am glad to find a forum where there are other brides. Is it a very exciting time of our lives!

I am done with my 100! Thanks!

I am in :) Legs still hurt from squats and stomach from crunches! GREAT!
-
I use it for my skin and hair :)
-
Thank you! I was using a mirror to make sure I was doing them right. I watched a YouTube video before I did them too. I honestly have not done squats in nine years. My knees started hurting during the last couple of sets, so I was probably getting tired and got sloppy. I definitely don't want to damage my knees.

I lost six average human brains....no wonder I am having writer's block!
-
I completed my 150! I did 10 sets of 15 and that was a lot harder than I thought it would be. My legs are burning! I really felt it in my knees! Thanks for the challenge!
