People that ask me a question while I'm eating, and then stand there impatiently while I'm trying to hurry and finish chewing, so that I DON'T talk with my mouth full....

So sad it's come to this...

This gif is getting a good amount of use today =)

Yup, I thought this was going to catch on :drinker:

Wrong. Your deficit would obviously be too large if you went under your BMR. Please do some more research before giving out bad advice.

Simply, this. I just sent you a comprehensive PM as well, based upon the information in www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 . Great read.

^ All of this, especially bolded....I'm doing 14.5/9.5 on weekdays (just how it works with my job) and somewhere around 18/6 on weekends.

Hope this thread is still in My Topics when I have little ones

Not the thread, but the link pretty much has everything I was looking for. Thank you very much! (I will now love you, and feed you *some* bacon. The grape-style feeding of bacon is reserved for the one who finds the thread on MFP.) Even though that link sums it up, if anyone is able to find the thread, please post the…

Awww, thank you, cwolfman13! :flowerforyou: And an even bigger "thank you" for serving our country.

Defninitely not trying to get into a pissing contest...thought that was clear in my post. You are correct, you telling her to up her calories is helpful. I never said your advice was harmful to her. I was just pointing out (in a friendly manner) that you may want to look more closely at posts before giving advice. I would…

*I* understand where you're coming from, however please be careful when giving out advice to people that don't know a lot about a subject, or are confused. She admittedly stated she doesn't know anything about BMR or TDEE....therefore she is probably taking advice at face value. She could have decided to take your advice…

I definitely agree with looking at body comp rather than scale weight. What do you care about more--how you LOOK and FEEL or the number on the scale? Do you want to be smaller or lighter? I personally choose the first options out of those scenarios. I wouldn't like my body at a flabby, size five 100lbs, but I would love my…

20% cut is way too high if someone only has 2lbs left to lose...even if she had 10, that's still too high. 5-7% is a better way to go, and will make the transition into maintenance much smoother.

I will have to check these out, thanks!

Sending you a PM =)

Great job!!! And I have to see, you are just absolutely beautfiul--with and without the extra weight. No wonder the guys were so nervous ;-)

For anyone that has trouble keeping their socks up, there is an actual skin glue you can use to keep them up. Never tried it, but it's (or was?) really big in Japan with all the cute girls and their knee socks *sigh*

For the love of all things holy, THANK YOU for that gif! I really needed it :flowerforyou: I feel so much better now....*ahhhh* P.S.--" ...I KNOW YOU WON'T BUT I'M SAYING IT ANYWAY" <---That's exactly how I felt when I first posted lol

It's been said, but for anyone that hasn't read all the other pages: OP has "PCOS (including the accompanying hypoglycemia) and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which is a form of hypothyroidism." Revealed on page 8. Comments were made stating CI/CO works, with the exception of certain medical issues (pages 2, 3 and 5). OP felt it…

It's definitely possible. Try not to absentmindedly grab food. I think that's what gets people to gain weight while quitting, eating, but not paying attention to the fact that they're eating...they graze a lot. I had that happen when I quit about 2 ½ months ago (I knew I was gaining weight, but couldn’t “see” that I was…

*sigh* Yes, if you make it a lifestyle change you *shouldn't* need motivation, however, some people need motivation in the beginning, before discipline sets in. Others don't and are disciplined from the get-go. I was disciplined with my calories, but needed motivation for my workouts. I don't use these methods anymore,…

I feel like all of these are right... ^ This, along with, would you be proud of this person parenting your child, being an influence in your child's life? Even if you don't want kids, I feel this is a good question to ask yourself.

It's called 7-Up, but the "slogan" if you will, was, "Heads down, thumbs up!"

Don't worry OP, I got the joke as soon as I saw them  And hell, I'm just shy of 24 and *I* remember those old TVs...I *do* have grandparents (and great-grandparents until I was in Junior High)....
