Never heard that one before, thanks! And @ SMJ1987 - Great waist line! 23?

You look awesome! Love the new hair cut as well--makes you look young, hip, and fierce!

@bright - 22 - great eyebrow shape!

^^ This. But at the same time, if you feel like you look better and like your body better when you're a bit thinner rather than muscualr, do what makes you happy.

I really just wanted to bump this thread up to the top because I love reading about others' stories. I guess I'll tell mine  I lost about 20lbs over the summer between 6th and 7th grade. Definitely changed things; boys talked to me more, girls wanted to be my friend, and nasty rumors circulated saying I was a slut…

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Arkansas when I was 19. I said things like "caw-ffee," (coffee) "muther," (mother) "wauta," (water) etc. I kept my hard Brooklynite accent for about a year, year and a half, but when I started working at a call center, it began to fade. My trainer said that my accent…

bump, look at links later

I simply put, "If you'd like to "be my friend" just add me, but please also include a message!" just so that way there's a little introduction. Usually the person will put something in the message that is not on their profile and you learn a little something more about them. If I request someone, I include a message as…

First things first--the OP didn't ask if she shouldn't drink, or how to "just say no." If you're gonna comment, why not help her with the question she asked, which was "what are the best options to drink?" It's like me stating I want to drive cross-country as my vacation, asking what’s the best route for cheap gas prices…

I don't finish my workout until almost 8pm most days. I have a protein shake as soon as I get home, which is about 10 minutes after I leave the gym. Then, if I don't have leftovers from the night before, it takes me about 45 minutes to cook, prep time included. So I tend to eat my dinner around 8:30, usually closer to 9:00…

^^This. Or I guess, these  Moniqua1, I'm glad you took the high road and was very poised with your response. Like Chris Rene says, "If you wanna build your love up, put your hate down" :flowerforyou: Friend request, STAT! And I'm really happy my post made you feel better

I went out with my aunt, her coworkers, and one of her coworker's friends (my now bf). I didn't talk to him until we left the restaurant and went to a bar that had a HUGE ceiling fan (seriously, this thing has like a 10ft diameter). I started talking about how it could be used in a Saw movie and he kept the conversation…

bumping for this link. Hopefully I will be starting this as well!

I looked at your pictures and I agree with everyone on here, except for the person who said you may look haggard. You are one of those women that encompasses several different beauty characteristics. You are beautiful, adorable AND sexy  . You look like you can play to all of those and I bet you are good at it. You…

I haven't had time to read through all the replies, but I'd like to direct you to a tumblr blog, muffintop-less.tumblr by Savannah Rose Neveux. Not only does she have amazing fat loss/muscle building tips, awesome recipes, motivational pictures and "picture-quotes" (memes, whatever you wanna call them), and other…

Oh my God, I almost spit my Greek yogurt all over my moniter! Pfffttthahahahaha!!! At my old job I had the morbidly obese woman that reaked so bad of so many stenches (BO, unwashed lady parts, greasy hair, etc) that someone actually put one of those circular air freshener tabs things with the sticky tape on the back…

Before lifestyle change: Drinking MAYBE 8-16oz of fluid a day--at most! And never water, always OJ, *sometimes* milk. Every now and then I would have a few glasses (never more than 4) in a day, but there were plenty of days (most, actually) where I didn't drink anything. Not even with meals (you guys are probably like…

You should be so proud! It looks like a completely different person's back! (Except for the hair  )

I appreciate that article, thank you

I don't know how many people on this site would be able to offer advice being that this site is geared to the general weight loss audience and I think your ship sailed from that dock long ago  . Not t osay there aren't people on this site that have the same goals as you! I have several "pals" on here that do!…

^^ This!!! Good job on sticking with it! I bet when the scale stopped moving you started to get a little discouraged, but I think it's safe to say that you are very happy you stuck to your guns and kept moving forward! Let this be motivation to others that are in the same boat you were 2 months ago

A lot of good advice in here! Bumping it, and hopefully this thread will still be viewable by the time I spit out some little people ;-)

I wish I had good advice for you. My mom keeps trying to lose weight, first with Atkins (on which she did lose a lot but gained it all back and then some when she stopped doing the diet) and then with just not eating near enough calories. She says she's never hungry. She's 175-ish and I'd say about 5'3? Now she's on those…

No medical reason, I just don't get a lot of sodium. The thing is, I'm not trying to keep it that low. I'm eating a lot cleaner now and it just so happens what I eat does not contain a lot of sodium. So I don't know if I should find some clean foods that naturally contain slightly higher amounts of sodium.

Uh....defininitely a weird one over here! Off-beat, sometimes dorky sense of humor...the kind of person that one group of people would be standing there scratching their heads and staring at me, and another group would be rolling on the floor. I don't make jokes or tell jokes--when I do that then no one gets them. I just…

My boyfriend was at 183lbs and 5'8" (kinda chubby but not largely overweight) when we started dating in July of 2010 and I was (a healthy!) 95lbs and 5'0". As we continued dating, he decided to start working out again (he played sports growing up and in college) and I guess I just decided to eat  ......I got up to…

bump for later! Read through the whole thread, now I just need to try the things stated!

My boyfriend has been working out for 13 months now and has lost 30lbs. He wasn't heavy, but a little chubby (was 183lbs and is 5'8"). He did things his way--still drank soda, cut down how much he ate, but didn't necessarily eat healthier, and started with walks during lunch and walks after work. So the weight didn't come…
