I sit at a desk all day too. I like to run in the morning, go the the gym after work. When the weather warms up I will cycle to work. I walk on my lunch. The bathroom and kitchen are downstairs so I make sure to take regular short breaks to walk down. I am waiting to hear if I am getting my sit/stand desk.... fingers…

I have ran a marathon, but definitely will not give myself the title marathon runner. I prefer the Half. I am 46 (started running 5 years ago) and run 3 to 4 days a week. Typically two short runs and one long run a week. I also cross train - cycle, started swimming and lift weights. I enjoy the variety!!

IMO you aren't eating enough. You should be at 2800 to 3000 calories if you are working out everyday and it's intense. For weight lifting try setting your macros to 40% protein, 30% fat 30% carbs. Do you weigh all food on a food scale?

Most likely too much too soon. I have been running for 5 years and don't run 6 days a week. I am glad to hear that you didn't push through. I believe the general rule of thumb to avoid injury is don't add more than 10% per week. New shoes if you are running on old shoes. Also, if you are going to run...keep your shoes just…

I only take rest days when I am tired or can't get my workout in. I think I have balanced it nicely between running, cycling, now swimming and weights. I won't feel bad if I wake up and really don't want to run...that is when I know I need a rest!

I feel your pain. I still cringe when I see myself in the mirror at the gym or trying clothes on in a store, I already hate shopping, this makes it worse. I don't know how to stop that feeling either.

Wow...thank you all for such great suggestions. It'll be a while before I can do any open water swimming, but definitely plan on it when the weather warms up. I will certainly check out the Facebook page! The lessons I am in are geared for Triathlon training and my instructor is great. I made the mistake of taking 5-6…

@curves73 keep your head high, I am guessing it is jealousy. The friends that are true friends will accept you as you are! Congrats on your awesome achievement!!! I am sorry, in my opinion she is not being petty. I made a connection over MFP with a man and my husband is well aware of him. He actually friended him on…

Tape measure! How clothes fit! It will depend on your end goal.

Hahaha...you are sneaky! Of course I would tell anyone that just doing it is AWESOME!! :) I know for sure I will be thinking that!!! :D

@cassieshae Weight Lifting music for me is heavy.... Like Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, Iron Maiden. Just find what works for you!!

Well done!! A great morning workout can set your day up for success!!

Here are few of my favourite ab exercises: Plank, Side Plank, Full Body Roll up, Scissor Lifts, Leg lifts. It would be helpful to let us know what you have been doing, maybe we can help with form.

For me I make my yogurt a dessert by adding fruit, nuts and cinnamon. If I am crazing something sweet I usually reach for some dark chocolate or an apple!

I think you'll see the answers will be all over the place. For me personally my pair of Costco yoga pants are more comfortable and lasted longer than the ones from Lululemon. I just bought thermal pants for running on Amazon for approx. $25. They are better than the $100 Under Armour ones. I do, however, buy name brand…

You are absolutely right....thank you <3

I knew how to leisure swim, I could save myself if I had to. However, to actually swim laps....I was not efficiently breathing, terrible form. I am doing my first Sprint Tri in the summer and didn't want to be the last out of the water.

I am a runner, cyclist and weight lifter. I have recently started swimming lessons....it kicked my *kitten*!!! The next day I felt it in my back, shoulders, legs and glutes. I think I will be regular now.

Veggies and roasted garlic hummus!!

I just started swimming lessons and let me tell you, I was completely breathless half way across a 25m lap at the beginning of my lesson. The instructor taught me how to breath properly and by the end of the first lesson I made the whole lap. I burn more calories swimming efficiently and properly over being completely out…

I am my own roadside assistance. I've replaced a tube in my tire, repaired brakes on the fly. I carry my cell phone if I need to be picked up.

Yes I listen to music and it does vary depending on what I am doing. I have a playlist for a quick run, long run, weight lifting and yoga. To me music is very motivating. Use the music that you enjoy listening too. You'll quickly figure out what songs motivate you.

MFP gave me 1300 I am 5'3" and am very active. I wanted to chew my own arm off...so I upped my calories to 1800 and was still losing. Although, most fitness instructors aren't trained registered dieticians I would have to agree with them. If I am correct 1200 is what an older sedentary woman needs to just survive.

I agree with everyone else, as long as you are hitting form goals eat what you want. I personally would take both...LOL

I started at Spin Class. I still go to Spin Class, but now I also cycle outdoors, run outdoors, lift weights and swim.

For me there is really one person that I really care that likes me and that is my husband! He is my best friend in the whole world. I have few good friends and some acquaintances. I don't care if everyone likes me. As long as people aren't a-holes to me, I will treat them nicely.

I am not a big fan of indoor cardio. If I absolutely can't run or cycle outside I will run on the dreadmill or go to spin class.

Yay for you!!!!! :) I love positive posts like this!!! Thank you for sharing!
