I am bloated these last few days - i have lost 5lbs so far, but am back up to my starting weight because of my bloating. Trying to tell myself to just stick to the exercise and control my cravings and it'll be fine after it's all done...hard when I felt like I was doing so well. Not giving up, though!

Great job. You look awesome.

I cook (mostly my eggs) in coconut oil.

I did my BMR and it is around 1500 - I was doing 1200 and I lost 5lbs in the first week, but I think a lot of it was probably water weight...since then things have been very slow even though I am more active. I am going to try setting it to 1500 and see if that helps.

Just got back from my run and wow. Day 3 and much hotter (I usually run at night) and I wasn't winded at all ( I was day 1) I love it. I also got to test out my new Nike+ gear, which is pretty awesome.

I am on Week 1, Day 3 and about to go for my run right now...this thread is inspiring

Stay busy and drink lots of water. I was always guilty of boredom eating. I am doing 1200 lately and I am always satisfied. You can check out my food diary if you want. I think I have had one cheat day in 2 weeks, otherwise I stay at/near 1200.

Mine should be starting this week and I have been using MFP for 2 weeks now...I have only noticed the mood swings are more controllable and my cravings are minor compared to what they used to be- probably because I am getting enough food a day and it is of more substance.

You look great! :)

I gain the week before and during when I am bloated (1-3lbs that just sits) and then as long as I stick with healthy eating and exercise during, I usually come out of it a few lbs lighter than before. Hormones :eye roll:

Baked goods, for sure.

So how do most people recommend starting to run? I have started doing as the OP said- running when I can/as long as I can stand it and walking (fast walk) the rest, hoping to build the stamina up- is this the right way to go about it? (Sorry to jack your thread, OP!) I have a nice pair of Asics.
