  • Air popped pop-corn for a snack... you can have a good-sized filling portion for fairly low calories. When I am super hungry I try to find very low calorie foods that I can have a lot of for that full feeling, like broth based vegetable soup or salads loaded with veggies and easy on the dressing, for example.
  • Band-aid Blister Block...I think it is by the bandaids in the pharmacy area of most wal-mart type stores. It is a waxy kind of a bar that you rub on any areas of your feet that are prone to blisters before you put on your shoes. Helps for dress shoes anyway. I also have a pair of shoes that rub one heel, and another pair…

  • I hurt my toe doing an aerobic type dvd barefoot that involved sliding the foot in some of the moves, and doing push-ups and plank moves can be hard b/c socks and bare feet slip on the floor sometimes. I think it just depends on the moves of the exercise really.
  • I don't know about everybody else, but my weight fluctuates so much just throughout the day that if I weighed everyday I would be a basket case. It seem much more accurate when I do it once a week...same day and same time of the day too. That's just me.
  • Use this as a learning experience! Just remember the bad feelings you have after losing control, and next time you have that temptation, take a second and really remember how you feel and ask yourself if it is worth it to give in. Sometimes it is, but at least you will feel that you have made a concious decision with the…
  • Some thing that worked for me (as someone who really loves to eat!) was to try to substitute lower cal things for stuff that I would normally eat (like rice cakes in stead of crakers, and an orange instead of a cookie). It is hard to just totally go slim fast and tuna when you are used to feeling really full after eating…
  • Just remember...all those people are probably thinking the same thing about somebody else in the gym too !!
  • Is there any way you can skip going home and go directly to the gym or where ever you work out? I know when I get home I either want to crash or get caught up in "mommy mode" and have to start dealing with housework and all of that distraction...so I found it really beneficial to just go straight from work to the park…
  • I like those Cutie Clementines (tiny sweet oranges that only have about 40 cals/each) b/c they take a minute to peel and eat and are really sweet so it takes a little longer just to eat; sometimes taking that time helps you get in control of those cravings.
  • I think it also has to do with what you choose when you go to Mcdonalds; if you can avoid the super-size double bacon cheese burger with a half a cup of mayo and choose a kids meal or small nuggets or something, then it can work. I have a hard time controlling myself so I try to stay away from temptation as much as…
  • It is amazing to me how satisfying just a little treat can be when you have stopped indulging your sweet tooth everytime you want to. It's hard to resist at first but it gets easier each time.
  • I do use canned veggies some, but frozen are nearly as cheap and seem as good as fresh in a lot of recipes, and seem like they have less added stuff. I had not heard about rinsing to reduce sodium...
