Just change your calorie goal and add 500 calories to your daily allowance. It's an easier and more long term workaround than adding it in as exercise every day.

Thanks for mentioning this. I have the Ultra, got it before I realized there was a new one that synced with phones. I seriously thought about swapping it out since I would like to be able to sync while out and about, but if it doesn't work with iPhone 4, that feature is useless to me.

My goal weight is 110lbs. I am 5'0. I was 100 all throughout high school and felt that was too thin (still "healthy" according to BMI, but I looked sickly and you could see bones everywhere). I was 120 through most of college and felt that was too heavy (still "healthy" according to BMI, but you could definitely tell I had…

I would love to get to goal weight by my anniversary (mid May). That's 20lbs of loss though and I'm small so I think that might be a stretch. Ultimately, I would like it gone by the end of the year, which I think is totally realistic.

I just always keep it clipped to my bra, except at night when it goes in it's little wrist band for sleep. If had an HRM as well, I would probably use it in conjunction with the fitbit.

When I was breastfeeding, I just manually increased my calorie intake by 500 calories (My Home -> Goals -> Change Goals -> Custom -> Continue -> add 500 to your net calories consumed -> Change Goals (at the bottom)).

Once you get to the dashboard, there is a section to log activities. Within it, there is an option for transportation, then driving (as the driver or as the passenger). You plug in the times you were driving and it adjusts it from there. I've had to do it quite often recently because of traveling for holidays (and a…

I have a fitbit and I absolutely love it. I hook it to my bra and forget about it. Since I wear a lot of tanks and cap sleeves, an armband would be totally unacceptable. I love that it tracks different types of activities based on the intensity of your steps, as well as stairs climbed. The sleep tracking thing is nifty as…

The fitbit tracks light, moderate, and very active periods. If your friend logs in driving, it will adjust inflated step and stair counts.

It's probably because you have a discontinued model. I'd guess they are either replacing with old, limited stock (if they even still have some) or sending the new One.
-
Same here. Since it logs lightly, moderately, and very active, as well as stair steps, I've got all of my bases covered. Since it all uploads automatically when it syncs to my laptop, I don't even have to log it. It's awesome.

I got one for Christmas and I love it so much.

Actually, it does depend on the diet. Paleo/primal is a high fat, moderate protein, moderate to low carb diet. The fat percentage you suggested here is really low, even lower than the generic SAD percentage MFP sets. Most people who follow a paleo/primal diet eat 40-60% of their diet in fat, set their protein so they have…

If you're eating low carb and no fat, what are you eating? It's usually low carb, high fat or high carb, low fat. There's a reason for that.

I made enough room for three drinks. Fluffed and cola, here I come!

Ranch was probably my big one. I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize it was THAT bad. Same goes for butter and heavy cream. I still use butter and heavy cream very often (several times a day), but I'm much more careful about making room for them and measuring them very precisely. Mayo also shocked me, but not because of…

The Fitbit will adjust your numbers as the day goes by and tells you whether you are on track for meeting your goal, over, or under, and it will further adjust depending on how much you walk/run/climb stairs. Because it's so much more individualized than MFP, which uses pretty generic numbers, I use the Fitbit's estimates.…

Right now, I don't have room for any. However, we're going to a hockey game with lots of walking to and from the stadium. I will also walk the concourse during intermissions and climb as many stairs as I can. I'm hoping I will open up enough room for a couple of drinks.

I almost always have two eggs fried in butter (sometimes toast with butter as well) or oatmeal (made with water) with cinnamon, a bit of brown sugar, heavy cream, and occasionally butter (sometimes I'll break out of the box and find a recipe on Pinterest, but this my typical bowl of oatmeal). Always coffee with about 1/2T…

I am 5' tall. Maintenance for me is between 1700-2000. I find MFP tends to suggest too few calories in general, for weight loss and maintenance.

For me, eating clean is just eating food made from scratch, nothing exceptionally processed (homemade spaghetti with homemade bolognese is fantastic, Chef Boyardee tinned spaghetti with meatballs not so much). For me, the fewer ingredients, the better. If it has a lot of ingredients, it should be because I put them there.

Fitbit! It's my favorite little gadget.

Enjoy your vacation. We're going to Disney World in the late spring, on a dining plan no less, and I fully intend to splurge and not track a single calorie. I will use my fitbit though. I'm really curious how much walking we really do while we are there.

I'm going to go with this as the reason. I can't stand ground turkey. I have never been able to make it palatable. Beef, on the other hand, I have probably once every third day or so. Mmm, burgers and steaks.

Thanks for the source! I hadn't heard that before.

It works the same way as it does if you weren't breastfeeding. Calories in, calories out. You have a base amount to just keep you and your little one alive and everything on top of that can be burned through exercise. You should be eating enough to nourish yourself and your child. That means a minimum of 1700 calories by…
-
You should add 500 calories to the suggested calorie amount they give you. You can change it yourself by going to "My Home" then "Goals" then "Change Goals". Choose the custom option, add 500 (it will automatically adjust the rest) and then save.

Feel free to add me! http://www.fitbit.com/user/23WM2X I got my fitbit for Christmas and it has pretty much been the best thing ever. I actually WANT to climb the stairs now!

1. How old and how tall are you? 26 (almost 27) - 5 foot nothin' 2. How much do you CURRENTLY weigh? 133.5 lbs 3. How many calories are you eating now/were you eating when you lost weight (specify whether this is net or gross)? I have MFP set to 1500 and average 1400-1600, however, I use my FitBit gauge to figure out my…
