My coach eats for health and not pleasure but says that he eats 3000 calories a day to keep up his metabolism and exercises twice a day (or more on some days).

It is possible to gain weight by not eating enough. Your body will start eating the calories from muscles to make up for what it's not getting and then your muscles will not work as effectively to burn fat.
-
Definitely eat the calories that you burn from exercise. Your body needs them!

I started out needing to lose 56 lb. I have lost 26 so far! The key is to eat right and give your body the nutrition it needs! Exercise is only a small part of it! I lost the first 20 lbs. using wii active 2 on the 9 week challenge. After that wasn't enough I started working out through a place called skinny's nutrition…

I think this should be very helpful!

The best thing you can do is eat healthy and give your body the nutrition it needs. I know several people who have lost weight by just changing their diet and never exercising. One of them lost 30 lbs. eating healthy and started exercising afterward to gain lean muscle. The pool is a great suggestion for starting out.

Thank you I think that may be one of my problems. I don't let myself have the extra calories that I have burned. I'm going to try that and see how it helps. I know a week isn't long but I'm going into week two and still haven't lost anymore.

If I add my exercise to myfitnesspal should I eat the extra calories that is added to my food diary?

Thank you!

My calorie goals or my weight loss goals?
-
I did try to calculate it yesterday and myfitnesspal said I still need to stay at the calories I am at.
-
well I know I can't eat any less because I'm only eating 1200 calories a day now but I am thinking of going up on the calorie intake. Thank you.
