  • Hi Lily! I'm from eastern Pennsylvania. My biggest challenge is getting back into the game. I lost 60 pounds 2 years ago using MFP, running and a trainer but I injured myself and slowly let the weight creep back on and I am not back to more than square one.
  • I'm up .4... so here's hoping that i do better this week.
  • I'm up for anything. At this point, just having a place to check in every week all year is a great starting point. I plan to slowly add in the exercise challenge, too.
  • G- This is how I am approaching this year. I've set a goal of 175, instead of 135, which is supposedly my healthy weight. I may even change my goal to 185 or 195 since the last time I did this my body seemed to want to stay at 195 despite working out and running 5 days/week. And, I want to actually reach a doable goal, and…
  • I'd like to say I can relose all of the weight I lost before, but I don't know if that will happen. So, my goal is to exercise consistently, and try to make better choices food-wise. I like the idea of the year spreadsheet because I think it will keep me coming back. Hopefully I will lose weight along the way. :)
  • I"m in! I'm glad you posted about how to find the invite...
  • I've been losing and gaining the same 4 pounds since Nov! Have you come up with any ideas to change things up? I'm starting to be discouraged.
  • You look fantastic! Well done!
  • You look great! Keep up the excellent work!
  • Congrats! I didn't meet my goal. I lost 25 pounds total for the challenge, so I was close. I just ate too much during December between the holidays and two of my kids having birthdays. Oh well. Happy New Year!
  • Great job to you both! I went up by 8 pounds over the holidays and have lost 5 of those again. But, I am still happy. I started this challenge at 224 and now weigh 193... so I'll take it. That's 31 less pounds. Happy New Year!
  • Thanks, RItzy! I managed to lose a little this week and reach halfway, but the release of The Hobbit happened last night... so midnight movie meant late dinner and movie popcorn (one of my weaknesses). I could not buy it, but my hubby always gets it when we have the kids with us. So, back up a pound or so... hanging in…
  • Getting out of the obese range sounds like a great goal. I need to check that range and see how much longer I have. Last time I checked I am pretty sure I was still far away.
  • You are doing fantastic! I was around 218 when I started and I wanted to lose 33 pounds and be 185 by NYS, but I don't think that's going to happen. I've barely lost 3 pounds in the past 30 days. I need to make it through the holidays. Two of my kids have December birthdays, as well. :/ Right now, I am hovering around…
  • One old man... our Golden Retreiver, Zach, pictured in my weight loss bar... and one young, tiny girl who is half yorkie and half papillon... named Tsuki. (Japanese for moon, I think)
  • So sweet! My daughters and I almost got a chiweenie, but ended up adopting a yorkillon, also known as a porkie!
  • Great job! You are on fire and well on your way to achieving your goal!
  • Awesome job! You are almost at goal!!!
  • I so understand that fact! I have five kids and when they were younger trying on clothes was next to impossible. One son would always wander off and hide in the rack and never reply when I called his name and my youngest would run to the other end of the store. Shopping was NEVER enjoyable. Good luck... all those other…
  • Great NSV.. maybe trying clothes and shopping will be more fun now that you are a smaller size? I'm trying to mostly buy from the thrift store since I am only about half way to my ultimate goal.
  • I started this challenge weighing 217.8 and needing to lose 32.8 pounds to meet my goal of 185. So far, I've lost 20.8 pounds and have 12 pounds to go. I'm psyched. I think I can do it. What helps to motivate everyone? Trying on clothes in the next size down at stores motivates me sometimes or gives me encouragement if I…
  • I extended the old spreadsheet for an extra week. When I get time, I'll extend it for the rest of the month. I don't really know how to create a brand new spreadsheet, but feel free to enter in the old one!
  • Zumba is great. I also do fitness boot camp and my trainer always changes it up. And, I did the C25K program and now like running. I love to run outside. Walking is good, too.
  • I used that website prior to buying my hrm and I have to say the website does a pretty good job of estimating the calories burned. I think it was within 100 calories. I weight about 204 now and burn approx. 582 calories every hour long Zumba class.
  • Way to go! You're going to be running the full 5k in no time, I promise you. It's great that you've figured out how to fit it in before you start your work day. Having a plan is half the I started the C25K program sometime in August. I did about three days a week but sometimes let a few extra days pass before coming back…
  • If you are hungry, eat. If not, than don't and you will experience a greater weight loss. Listen to your body. I noticed on your profile that you said Weight Watcher's didnt' work for you because you were always tempted to eat your full amount of points... this seems like a similar situation.
  • It's beautiful and looks fabulous on your body. And, I say all of this with the experience of viewing hundreds/thousands of dresses over the years since my husband is a wedding photographer. I especially love the corset back.
  • Well, I've lost 13.6 pounds since the start of this challenge. I probably would've lost more, but I had to take prednisone for a week after getting poison oak (you can see that for three weeks in there I hovered around the same weight), But, I'm back on track. I was shooting to lose 32 pounds overall, so I have 18.4 pounds…
  • Fantastic job, inwardly and outwardly. You look great! I love the jeans pic.
