I also suffer from PA and have a body weight exercise programme from a physio to strengthen muscles around my joints to stabilise and support them but also to increase flexibility. Could be worth checking out.

Intrigued by an earlier comment on your thread and Googled what Garmin have to offer... seems they have a new product called the Vivofit, activity tracker with HRM combined. Have not seen any reviews on this as I guess this is new to the market and is reasonably priced. The only thing it doesn'\t seem to have is a GPS.…

Well back here at work again after my month off. Weather was just hot, from 80 - 100 deg for the whole time I was home, we had to be out early to take the dog out before it was too hot for him. It was too hot to go out on my bike so had a relatively easy month exercise wise except for my dog walks. But was mostly good with…

Well got home on Monday night and finally weighed myself on Wednesday as I normally take a couple of days for my weight to stabilise after flying. Was only at 107.6 kg which was a bit of a disappointment, but my wife and daughter said I looked thinner which was considerably more re-assuring and my new shirts do feel…

It was the black stuff that gave me a kick start on the road to ruin.... Guinness at $12 a pint is a great incentive not to drink it....but now drink one or two light beers if I have a beer or glass of wine...needs to be done as it just dead calories.

Still managing my 40 mins on the stationary bike everyday... will moderate this once I get home and can assess how successful it had been. And food is good as I can manage too... It will be interesting to see what weight loss I'll hopefully have had when I get home, but will have to wait a day for what seems to be my…

On the bike I am using has a calorie burn programme which varies the resistance and therefore the intensity of the workout. Sitting all that time on a low resistance would do my head in.

Fan of the Doctor ..remembering being scared as a 6 year old when the 'New' Doctor Jon Pertwee took over from Patrick Troughton... nightmares of Cybermen standing in the corner of the lounge.. Tom Baker was probably my favourite, but some of the Tennant stories were truly excellent, The End of Time probably my favourite…

Only just found this thread... but have been doing 12-14 miles per day on the stationery bike since 6 January.. so that puts me at around 240 so far for the month...no target for the month but will continue for the rest of the moth at same rate, so 320 miles will be the nominal target.

WhataBroad - Unfortunately the walking on soft sound isn't as divine as it sounds..... being at an oil rig site in the UAE isn't quite what you would have imagined......but will be back on the lovely white beaches of WA next week when I get home...!

Also adding at least 10k steps everyday as well... and most of that is in soft sand which is good for a few extra calories burned too!!

Well keeping up with my 45 mins of cardio everyday... and eating as healthily as I can. We do have plenty of fruit available, and manage to have an omelette for breakfast everyday, just with tomato, onion and chiili. The rest is trying to pick the healthiest bits from a selection of food that is prepared for everyone. The…
