I'm 5'5 1/2. I started July 1, 2012 and lost 30lbs by October. I started off at 162 lbs and now weigh 125 as of this morning. I've noticed this trend too. I've always attributed it to the fact that produce is NOT cheap. Seafood & salad (which is what I'm primarily eating) are much more pricey than red meat & chicken.
