If you have balance issues, ignore the dumbbells and focus on doing body weight lunges with you arms raised to the side. Raising you arms increases the range of your center of gravity and makes balancing easier....also, its pretty hard to keep your arms raised for an extended period of time, so you will sneak a nice…

Anyway, i would go with something like carrots or celery, low cal and good for you. If your not the veggie type, then maybe cashews or some sort of seed near by...but keep…

I read the article, and Im having a VERY hard time believing number 2, especially considering that it states that saturated fat raised HDL cholesterol....everything i have been taught in regards to nutrition over my university career says that meals high in saturated fat cause a reduction in HDL cholesterol (temporarily),…

Why not just take a supplement? There are plenty of them out there and they are far from expensive.... And if not - red meats - liver - beans - dark leafy green veggies - grains (iron enriched, like cereals and breads, etc.) - and artichokes (i think, you may want to google that one) - oh, and nuts too!

A friend on mine found a bloody bandaid in a doritos bag before...she called the company and they gave her over $100 in free stuff,,,.personally i thought she was nuts because that is a pretty epic find, she could have filed a law suit against them!

Hey, jessicalysenk, recent research suggests that it is closer to 1.6 grams per kilogram of body weight...so your weight of 140 lbs would about 100 grams of protein, which is pretty much right on the money for what your eating. Now, protein powers well generally help and not hinder your progress unless you have some sort…

You might have a problem with your enteric nervous system (which is the nervous system specifically for digestion) and the receptors associated with your stomach lining. Generally you should have stretch receptors that sense the stretching of your stomach and another type (i forget which) that detects the presence of food…

YAAAAA....i dont think this is an accurate measurement of TDEE. Weight changes on a daily basis and if you do any sort of weight training, you gain muscle and lose less weight overall....this is, at best, an rough estimate like TDEE
-
TDEE is vague because it is an estimate, you would need to wear a mask which measures oxygen uptake over several days to get an accurate estimate of real world TDEE. What you need to do is set it to the level most appropriate to what your current activity level is and make little adjustments it from there (i.e. add 150…
