It definitely gets easier - I remember scabs on my nipples when my daughter was first nursing! By 6 weeks everything had smoothed out and we were were good to go - it's a combo of baby being small, and a learning curve for both of you. It gets better - I promise!

Thank you! Your half will go great - just have fun! As for running with extra weight, a lot of people do it in the reverse way, start heavier and get lighter...I would imagine your body will grow used to it but like anything else listen to your body. Unusual aches/pains, try to correct your form - not everyone can run…

That sounds about right. I have logged every day but one in the past year (yesterday actually, due to several hours of being ill and not knowing how to log food I'm not keeping down, lol!) but the first couple weeks I remember being so tired, I can't really imagine trying to fit logging in too. I am sure it's possible I…

He said the same thing =/ On Sunday it alternated being misty rain with real rain, so he was really stuck. Still did well, but definitely tough.
-
Omg, I almost want to get those for him just to tease him!
-
He does not have it - I will definitely email that name to him to ask about. Thank you! Even if it's expensive it might be worth trying. I am probably worrying more about this than he is but I want him to be as successful as possible in his training and hate something so silly pulling him down :)
-
He does run with a hat and says that helps for the rain that falls straight down - we ordered a wicking cap too so it doesn't end up absurdly water logged. At our half on Sunday it was a misty sort of rain so the hat didn't help much unfortunately. I hadn't heard of the lense coating - I'll tell him to look into that.…

Oops, I forgot to mention contact lenses aren't an option for him. I'll edit the original post, thanks.

I'm going to join in - pregnancy has knocked me off my routine and even if I can't run the way I used to I still want to stay active! 6/1 - 3.1m walk - 3,1/50 6/2 - 13.1 run - 16.2/50 6/3 - 1m walk - 17.2/50 Hopefully I'll get a walk in today and be able to update this. :)
-
I did one at 16+1 for this pregnancy, and it cost $54 - it included gender ID, 3 printed film pics, 1 cd of pics, and a dvd of the u/s as well as listening to the heart beat.
-
Tell me about it - I started running in July, hated it the first month and then fell in love. Huge shock because I hated running the mile in high school! Ran my half marathon today and realistic expectations made it go so much better than my last half - I actually "prego-PR'ed" (lol - a friend's term) and beat my half at…

No way! You're local? I'm doing the North Shore Half in Highland Park this weekend. I love/hate Chicago races - they're always awesome but parking is such a pain since I'm in the suburbs, so I only do special occasion races in Chicago - I did the Cinco de Miler a few weeks ago and it was fun but parking was a huge pain! So…

Thank you! (And congrats on your 10 miler! I wish I could say the peeing thing gets better but uh...definitely planning to hit every single bathroom, lol) I ran a half at 14 weeks and was so disappointed because I had planned on running the whole thing but ended up walking the last 3 miles due to round ligament pain. It…

After a lot of soul searching and tearing of hair, I decided to go for one last half while pregnant - I'll be running one this Sunday at 22+2. I do not expect a stellar finish - my plan is lots of walking, lots of water, and LOTS of fun. I know I can finish under the time limit and while it's funny to think of going to a…

I think with twins a shower is a great idea! My family does not do second showers either but twins are definitely an exception. Glad you're feeling better about it, and definitely glad your husband was there :)

Congratulations!! I wasn't losing weight to get pregnant - we were told pregnancy was impossible without IVF - but I won't lie, it was in the back of my head of "wouldn't it be nice..." Of course, that was in the context of, wouldn't it be nice if losing weight made a less invasive treatment more effective? Lo and behold,…
