Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yes, and your so was being a butthead :P

Wow that's such a cool link!

The more I run while pregnant the more I remind myself that every run during pregnancy should be easy. I think the most frustrating is when something like round ligament pain stops me from running, because usually minor aches and pains I ignore, but I just refuse to risk any kind of pregnancy pain even if it should be…

It is...what I felt like I was going to have. I don't know that I ever thought about what I wanted because I was so convinced this little one was a boy. Does that make sense?
-
I try to! I think burning more calories means your body needs to eat more.

Thank you!! :D

Last time I didn't do anything - I couldn't see well enough to shave (lol - couldn't seeeeeeee at all!) and waxing never occurred to me. I ended up with a csection and they shaved the top, but the rest never even occurred to me to manage. Since then I was getting regular waxes, but stopped once we got our BFP. I've been…

Can you FINISH one? Yeah. But it might not be pretty - it depends whether finishing is the important part (I've done races like that!) or if finishing WELL is the important part. Only you know the answer to that. One bit of advice, the runs where I was a little undertrained for the distance HURT. So don't let that surprise…

I agree with Luzmid and I really do hear you on the inlaws. I guess just...coming from an infertility background my heart hurts from her and hearing about her losses and understand the hope that a new pregnancy brings along with the terror that you just can't talk about. I am not 15 1/2 weeks but until my NT scan spent…

I agree. I spent most of yesterday alternately in tears over it and then sometimes going, but WHY? Why? I don't understand the point. This wasn't a political rally and while sure, it generates a lot of revenue for Boston...absent a personal grudge against the city or the Marathon...WHY? Why?

For me only bland carbs kept the nausea away, so plain popcorn was the only low cal option I had. If you give us an idea of what works for your nausea we can suggest specifics :)

No doubt, you're on team pink! Congratulations!~ I find out in 6 days. I am counting down, can you tell?!

I...kind of feel like your sil is probably looking to you as the expert. She's probably scared and excited - with a loss history her risk f loss ths time is higher and that's scary. Trying for children and doubting your body is very, very painful. I don't think she's trying to steal your thunder....she's probably scared…

Hello all - I decided I want somewhere to track this. Starting weight: 156 Week 5: +0 Week 6: +0 Week 7: +0 Week 8: -1 Week 9: -1 Week 10: -1 Week 11: -2 Week 12: -2 Week 13: -1 Week 14: -1 Week 15: -0.25 At least I'm back in the right direction. I need to focus on gaining soon I think...but kind of scared.

I had visitors the day after and I still felt like hell. I stayed in 3 days - I think if I end up with a section this time nothing before day 3 if people insist on visiting at the hospital. I felt like a mess.

Definitely talk to your doctor/midwife, but FWIW I have severe PCOS and was never told not to work out while pregnant - for this pregnancy my doctors said to keep doing what I've been doing as long as I feel up to it, so I'm running my second half marathon while pregnant this weekend at 14 weeks. You may have specific risk…

It's worth mentioning that diaperswappers.com and there are a few FB swap groups where you can buy used diapers so you can test drive before investing in a full stash of new ones...although to be honest once my daughter was born I pretty much figured out I didn't care if the diapers were new or not, so saved even more…

Honestly, I just ate and tried to make the best choices I could. The alternative was throwing up - I just tried to remind myself that there's a reason snacking helps and your body is supposed to gain during pregnancy. It's hard, but you just kind of have to let go and acknowledge you are not in as much control as you want…

I'm 13 1/2 weeks right now - I find that my appetite seems limitless. If it's in front of me, I'll eat it because I'm always starving. I'm just trying to go with the flow because I haven't gained anything yet so I figure I'm hungry for a good reason, but I inhale apples and bananas like they're going out of style - turkey…

Just know it will pass :( It sucks though, I was exhausted.

I am not sure how well a hrm would work during pregnancy - I know my heart rate is very different while pregnant and it is much easier to elevate it. I would imagine it is a higher weight causing higher burns, yes - I had noticed as I lost weight they went down so it makes sense to me it would go the other way too :)

Some of the responses to this thread are ridiculous. Y'all need to grow up. Her being protective of her kid doesn't make her an evil pet owner, and her kid getting scratched doesn't make her negligent either. What planet do y'all live on? 14 mo is still a baby, babies need to be supervised around animals. It isn't possible…
-
I'm going to second this. Also, getting a kitten doesn't mean your kiddo won't get scratched - kids need supervision with all animals, even gentle, well-socialized-with-kids ones. Kids do not have good judgment yet, they need parents for filters. We have 3 cats, 2 11 years old and a 1 year old that we got at 6 weeks old.…

Lol I put "expensive" instead of "expecting". Freudian slip? :noway: Thank you for the input! I did ask my doctor office too but each doctor has a different answer, so I was trying to figure out what "real" people are doing if that makes sense. One of the docs did point out I'm overweight but not very, so my weight gain…

Yes, you are supposed to have 0 left or thereabouts, plus/minus a bit. Your deficit is already built into the amount of calories you have been assigned.

Oh yeah! Due date makes a difference. My daughter was born 1/31 so it was deep snow and frigid out here in Chicagoland. If she had been a summer baby she would have hung out in her diaper in all likelihood.

I'm going to be the odd one out and say I will be getting more nb clothes this go round - my daughter was born 7lbs 7oz and came home 6lbs 13oz. At everyone's advice we had a ton of 0-3 but only a handful of nb stuff - and the nb stuff, while it only fit for a few weeks, was all I used at first because she was swimming in…

One thing I will say is that with an early diagnosis of previa, it often resolves on its own as the uterus grows larger and the placenta moves up. If it does not resolve the only way to deliver is a csection, so they will monitor you throughout the pregnancy (unless it resolves before then). My best friend had complete…

I wish I could - my first was a planned homebirth turned transfer/csection. My state doesn't allow HBACs or I would, the best part of my birth was the labouring peacefully at home.
