  • Buy a couple of healthy cook books, like Jillian Michaels Master Your Metabolism. It'll take some getting used to, but if you want to make a big change and teach good habits like eating healthy proteins, lots of vegetables, and complex carbs, buy a couple of books and try some new recipes. Good luck!
  • HAH, we can only hope.
  • I have the zip. Pros: cheaper, colorful, I don't care about the sleep patterns, battery lasts for like over a year or something so you don't have to charge it. Cons: It's not as easy to wear in my bra. I have to, ahem, move some things around until it doesn't look like there's a lump on my chest. The One would be nice only…
  • it's not like you can see her ribs or anything, she looks like she's got a ton of muscle. I think she looks great. I know men that like toned and muscled women, and men that want soft and curvy women. To each their own.
  • Once you go over, there's no going back.
  • I've never tried this place, but you can order 5 different bras, try them on at home, and then send them all back if they don't fit. https://trueandco.com/ Also, just google how to find your bra size. You just need a tape measure. It's so simple.
  • this is me! Or WAS me. I lost 30 pounds a couple of years ago and this year wanted to lose another 10-20, but I didn't want to put off getting pregnant any longer. I'm hoping to stay super healthy so I can get the excess off after baby comes in January :) Good luck to you!
  • What the--- something that makes you feel like crap whenever you are on it can't be healthy! Find a good alternative. I find that taking some CLEAN caffeine (ie., not soda) before working out makes my workouts more intense and helps me lose weight faster. Just drink a ton of water because caffeine can dehydrate you.
  • If you eat just white, you get more protein for less calories which is great for weight loss. But there is no health reason to cut yolks out. They don't raise bad cholesterol, they don't contribute to heart disease.
  • I lost 16 pounds in 2 months at the VERY beginning of my weight loss efforts. Any weight after that took some more effort. I was eating 1200 (have since upped my calories) and doing HIIT (high intensity interval training) like Jillian Michaels videos with strength and cardio intervals 6 times a week.
  • Do you live in Utah?! Man, am I sick of Utah drivers. No signaling, left turns 3 cars after the light turns red, squeezing in at the end of a lane merge, getting stuck behind a car who is cruise controlling 5 below the speed limit, passing someone going slower than you only to have them speed up when they see you trying to…
  • it's a struggle at first. Eat a lot of greens, they are low in calories, high in nutrients, and they fill you up. Make sure when you eat a lot of fiber, you also drink TONS of water.
  • .....you are still married to a wife who manipulates and keeps score?
  • Oh my gosh, you two look FANTASTIC! Congratulations!
  • I understand that it can be hard when not everyone in the house is on board with your diet and exercise. It's frustrating. I didn't start losing weight until I had moved out and cooked for myself. And if she is upset that you don't eat what she cooks, make your own meals but help her understand what losing the weight means…
  • It sounds like he's keeping his options open by getting closer to her... not cool.
  • The closer you get to your goal weight, the harder it is to get the pounds off! I know exactly how you feel. Jillian Michaels wrote this book called Making the Cut that is great if you can find it at a library or on amazon. You should probably up your calories (I know everyone here freaks out that you HAVE to eat your…
  • Whaaaat? That is awesome! Congratulations! Sounds like you're eating enough, I don't think you need to up your cals until you get closer to your goal weight.
  • Sounds like they're not ready to hear it yet. They want to live in their excuses, like it's not possible for them to lose weight and they feel sorry for themselves. I thought I had a lot of excuses to hide behind, then I got to the point where I couldn't stand being in my body anymore. I learned how to do it right and I…
  • I haven't read the stories, but do they say specifically that men initiate the divorce because they hate that their wives are more intelligent/hardworking/rich than they are? It could easily be a woman who works her butt off to support a lazy husband, then divorces him because she's in a horrible marriage. Again, I haven't…
  • I got a few tankinis from Shade a couple years ago. The awesome part-- they were on clearance for $5 a piece, and still super cute.
  • When I was teaching, I would eat great all day, then come home and pig out. It was so hard to stop because I was tired and stressed. I've also ready articles that link will-power to glucose levels in the brain, so when you are exhausted, you are more likely to make bad food choices. Try taking a nap when you get home from…
  • It will take some getting used to if this is the first time you've counted calories, but it gets easier. I'm sure WW works...I like MFP because it's free.
  • How much are you trying to lose? When you get closer to your goal (within 10-15 pounds), you should try not to deficit over 500 calories a day.
  • Try on a few pairs. I think on some people, pleated pants look poofy. But, you have to be careful that your flat-fronts aren't too tight...
  • I'm exactly where you are right now, 5'5" and about the same weight. Do they not realize that this is not yet in the healthy BMI range? Losing another 20 pounds is not dangerous at all. Congrats, by the way, you are looking great!
  • "cumferbull" instead of "comfortable"
  • heh... OP went back and deleted the original post?

  • I think it's great that you have already been following a diet and exercising. I have heard of some getting gastric bypass without making any lifestyle changes. They don't lose the weight the right way and a lot of people gain the weight back afterwards.
