I lost about 30 pounds and gained it all back over the last 15 months or so. I kept lying to myself, kept telling myself that I was eating a normal amount, that I needed that food to feel better, etc. I stopped weighing, I stopped wanting to know how bad it was, that was until the day the big jeans I had bought were…

I can tell you, as someone who has lost the weight and gained it back again, that it is so much diet based. When I exercise and lift without cutting calories, I lose maybe a few inches here and there. When I cut calories I always lose regardless of if I exercise. Exercise and lifting is great for your overall health, but I…

I gained I think 28 pounds while TTC. We are probably looking at IVF soon for MFI, but I somehow managed to get my BMI above 30 in that weight gain, so I'm trying to just get down to a healthy weight again (28 pounds and then a few more).

Thanks for the inspiration and good job!

Thanks! We had a great day up in Sweden at the first Ikea. Weird way to celebrate? I hope everyone else had a nice one.

Amazing and I know you have been working so hard at it too!

Hi! *waves* I'm Nerissa and I've been Asatru for a long time. I'm getting married to a wonderful Danish man, who is also Asatru (that's how we met) and moving to Denmark in 6 days! I've lost a little over 24 pounds so far, have another 9,8 to go to get to a healthy wait and about another 19 to my goal. We are both pretty…

SW: 189 lb CW: 167.5 GW: 162.5 Weigh in Dates: 8/1 : 167.5 8/8 8/15 8/22 8/31 Total weight lost: Just for fun: What is one thing you have been wanting to do when you have lost enough weight? When I get down to the final goal weight, we'll be making baby #2.

I tried to pick a goal weight for this challenge that would be a little bit of reach to get to, but not too much. As for in general? I picked a goal weight that was about 10 pounds below the upper limit for healthy and that I know I feel good at. For me that is 145 and the upper limit for my height is 155. I wanted some…

Well I need to revise that week 5 down to 167.7 because I was back there this morning. :)

I've been upping my strength training at the gym so I think it might explain this week - it is also my TOM. My legs are definitely skinnier though :) My tummy, not so much :( SW for challenge: 172 end weight week 1: 170,5 End of week 2: 170,1 End of week 3: 169 End of week 4: 167,5 End of week 5: 168.4 goal weight for…

Some more walking/biking and I'm going to try the new *****cat Dolls workout dvd I got. I'm hoping that it is at least a good cardio exercise.
-
So I've got about 22 weeks left now and 22.5 pounds! Awesome! Keep up all the hard work ladies, it is worth it :)
-
Definitely the baby steps work! Do 50 sit ups and crunches tonight or 20 minutes of yoga. Maybe walk a mile tomorrow.... or bike for 15 minutes. Exercise doesn't need to be some big to-do or a dedicated 60 minute block or whatever.
-
Well if you are ever in Denmark hit us up. There is a sizable community there of Asatru folk. :)

Just bring a change of clothes and some wet wipes (they have personal hygiene ones). I bicycle to the beach with a 40 pound child and beach equipment in a trailer and that is about 4 miles round trip. I also bicycle to the supermarket from time to time which is about 5 miles. I use a trailer to carry stuff. I highly…

I give up. Exercising more and eating less calories IS A CHANGE. Is it staying the same? I'm not replying to you anymore if you are just going to pick apart things that clearly you don't comprehend.
-
You've lost 32 pounds since April? That is fantastic! Now I'm even more perplexed about this thread.
-
It isn't, you just have some reading comprehension issues. Lifestyle changes are eating less calories and exercising more. What are they to you?

I drink a soda a day (that I'm trying to wean off of - thanks step dad for putting them in my lunch as a child). I have snack food from time to time. I'm a human. Today, I think I overate. Oh freaking well. My ex-in-laws are coming into town in 3 days to visit my DD, my dad is dying from Melanoma (oh a sunburn can kill),…

" Exactly. That and you'll get a million different opposite opinions. "No, you should eat 1400" "No minimum 1800", "No, I eat 1900 at your height and lose weight". Yeah, ummm, ok?
-
The question might be, how tall are you? At 155 it'll be tricky to lose that much weight in a healthy fashion in 12 weeks. Maybe aim for 12 pounds lost and toning up instead? I'm getting married at around Christmas time and I'm aiming for 25 pounds by then, but I think it will be more like 15 to 20. I'm 170 and my goal…

*waves* I'm moving to Denmark shortly and my fiance, who is also on the site, is from Denmark.

Like everyone else said, use a chair with the over the door frame pull up bar. It is what I do and that is enough of a workout for me at the moment. Maybe you could modify P90X? I only sort of supplement with it 3 times a week or so. The legs/back, core synergistics, plyo, and abs are what I use most and the 3 (minus the…

SW for challenge: 172 end weight week 1: 170,5 current weight (end of week 2): 170,1 goal weight for challenge: 160 0,4 pounds this week. (Average of 0,9 a week so far for this challenge) I also lost 0,25 inches off my neck and hips this week. Maybe not a huge loss, but getting there!

I'm doing kind of bad with some of my goals. Whoops! I'm down to Mountain Dew every third day and not drinking enough water and exercising. Grrrr. My fiance can eat like 2600 a day and still lose 3 to 4 pounds a week. How ridiculous is that!
-
It could be the shot or it could be what you are eating. MFP tells me that I can only lose a max of 1.4 pounds a week. Honestly, it is probably 1 lb a week and when I'm not being very careful it has historically been 0.5 pounds a week. The hormones in the shot are tricking your body into thinking it is pregnant, so you are…

This is part of it. I eat back some of calories, but not all. IMO, MFP overestimates a lot of the exercises and calories burned.
