A few people made the points that scientific studies will often look at a large group of people and the main findings and especially press releases will report average findings across the whole population, although if you look into the paper, sometimes it will point out that a subgroup of people seemed to experience a…

I usually go strawberries, blueberries and peanut/almond butter, but I'm liking the sound of pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. I'll have to try that.

Oh my gosh. This is amazing. You look great. The costume looks great. Congratulations on your success.

Thanks for posting. You're amazing! You might have gotten some advice from people in the forums, but all the effort and the willingness to learn through trial and error was all you. Congratulations on your well-deserved success.

Congratulations on your success, especially with all of your struggles. Hope things are going better for you now. On the plus side, they are in the middle of adding a bunch of new stuff to Harry Potter world, so when you get the chance to go again, there will be so much more to see and do.

Yes, I think it happens to most. It goes away afterward for me (usually with a little extra if I'm lucky).

If you click through on the diets, they explain why they gave the scores they did. It's not that they think paleo is bad for you so much as there just aren't many studies on paleo specifically so it's hard to say anything definitive. They do note it tends to be low sodium, but it may be higher fat and low on calcium…

Great work. Thanks for posting.

Mostly I'm bumping this thread for motivation, although my profile pic is old results. Lost track of my diet a bit since then, but still lifting heavy.

Looking great. Thanks for posting!

I moved from North America six months ago assuming I would have to give up Chia seeds. H&B was the first place I checked and there they were. Couldn't find hemp protein though. Just whey or hemp seeds. I like that staff aren't pushy. When I go to a new branch and am wandering around looking lost, someone usually asks if…

Congratulations on all your hard work. Keep it up.

Congrats! All your hard work is paying off. Keep it up.

I like the "still lapping everybody on the couch" point of view because it focuses more on the process than the goal. Goals are good, but if your and your friend's capacity to achieve that goal are different and she gets frustrated when she falls short, then it seems like the better approach is going to be to focus on…

Congrats and happy birthday! I'm trying to get back into logging after a few rough weeks myself and this is so inspiring.

Hmm. Seems a little dairy-heavy this week, but too late now. It got up to 7C here on the weekend so I finally went for gelato (coconut and dulce de leche): Also, I got a Groupon for cheese: Quebec cheddar, Italian fontina and French truffle brie Acorn squash soup and homemade bread with more of the cheese Cottage cheese,…

Like a few others, I'm eating near maintenance, so my calories might be a little higher than you are looking for and I took the weekend off, but otherwise I think my diary is open if you want to take a look. What I would judge to be a "typical" day: Wake up and work out. I usually do this fasted. Usually a quick cardio…

It was actually my first time making lentils. Not sure why since I make beans all the time and lentils are so much faster. The soup was great and filling.

I didn't do too much new or fancy for this week. Couscous salad (with spinach, chickpeas, dry pressed cottage cheese, grape tomatoes, pepper and cucumber) and roasted chicken Most exciting thing about this was all my mixing bowls were in use and in searching the back of my cupboards, I discovered that I actually own a…

Why didn't I think of this? Brilliant.

Some breakfasts: Strawberry cheesecake shake including graham cracker crumbs + crunchy peanut butter on a tortilla Chocolate shake + sunflower butter on toast Some of this week's lunches for work: Maple glazed pork tenderloin and curried eggplant with potatoes on rice The curried eggplant was really filling considering it…

Oh. Mah. Goodness. That is beautiful.

Wow, this thread is flying. Great work. Haloumi and tomato soup - amazing idea (seconding that haloumi is available in Canada. I've seen it at No Frills, although I think of it more as a summer thing because you usually grill it so not sure how prevalent it is now). Also, I will have to try raspberries with cottage cheese,…

You have to live your life. You had dinner out with family and ate a little more than you intended. In 30 or 40 years, you are not going to be sitting around thinking "I really should not have eaten that chocolate mousse." Some of us put a lot of moral weight on food but we really shouldn't. It's just food. You are not a…

Aw, that's too bad, but you know how different you feel. Congratulations! In this age of cameras everywhere, maybe a picture will turn up later. I took before pictures, but focused on my waist and hips. I wish I'd included more of my legs, where I've seen some real changes. I didn't measure my thighs when I started either,…

Wow. Great transformation. Definitely motivating.
