Great job.

Wow, great presentation on the banana bread and pudding. And way to use the whole squash shovav91. Happy pancake Tuesday! I did two chocolate protein pancakes with fruit, two banana pancakes with crunchy peanut butter, one classic-style with maple syrup and added a bowl of vegetables to make my Mom proud. Due to poor…

Thanks. I love this thread. So many new things to try.

Strawberry banana oatmeal with yogurt and almond butter Tuna melt and mixed vegetables Hamburger on (slightly too small) bun, broccoli roasted in taco seasoning Chicken fingers and pasta salad I made tortillas, mainly for lunches this week with this marinated beef (and also the broccomole from the recent recipe thread…

Lunch: pasta and meat sauce + apple Dinner: pork sausage, mixed vegetables, potato pancakes (some with cheddar and some with cream/cottage cheese mix) and Greek yogurt My first attempt at a mug cake: From here: http://eatdrinkcraft.blogspot.ca/2012/03/best-chocolate-mug-cake-no-serioulsy.html. It was very good, but I think…

Bumping to try later.

I'll say you are! Happy Friday.

Great job. Love that you included the trial and error at the beginning of your story. So glad it all worked out for you!

Spinach salad, pork sausage and the easiest "curry" in the world (from http://www.lovefoodeat.com/spicy-peas-curry-the-express-way/) with bread Had enough calories left for a small dessert: peanut butter and chocolate cream cheese on toast with herbal tea

Chicken with sausage and potato. (From frozen, not the best quality broccoli also pictured) And lunches for the work week: spinach, sundried tomato, bacon and goat cheese pizza

Great job!

Gelato! Oh my. Sauteed vegetables and ground beef (attempted the chicken stock + cheese reduction thing someone else mentioned above, but with limited success. Need better cheese I think), sweet potato with Greek yogurt

I am not super-familiar with the area, but a friend just asked me to look into it, so if I come across anything interesting, I'll post more later. As a bit of background on recent news, there has been some back and forth on a study published in the journal of Food and Chemical Toxicology (see bottom for link) about rats…

Well, it's somehow all a bit colourless, but it was still good. Roasted cabbage (with bran flakes for extra crunch), cheeseburger on homemade bread and a teeny bit of brown rice. I was pretty pleased with my homemade bread until I saw that bacon cheddar beer bread, which I did not know was a thing, but now that I do I feel…

Oooh, I'm gonna try this with some cream cheese I have. Sounds delicious and so simple.

Great progress and great vacation pics!

I'm 5'8.5" and lost ~20 pounds from June last year until now:

Beans and spinach. And I just discovered I am getting a decent iron amount from cocoa powder. Yeah! Also, if you are not low-carbing it, bread and pasta have a fair bit of iron as well.

I decided to try the Poker Face workout this morning. I don't have a dip station, so I use my kitchen chairs, which are a bit low for leg raises and the seats are a bit high to kick over, but otherwise it was great! I haven't done ninja jumps in ages and I've never done them with the sandbag. Turns out when there aren't a…

I cooked a lot fancier than usual this weekend, so if I may be permitted to humblebrag... Yesterday: Mushroom, spinach and prosciutto risotto. Light whole wheat bread from Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day in the background, although I'm still tweaking that recipe to get better texture. And today, zucchini, goat cheese and…

The psychopath workout: http://archive.bodyrock.tv/2010/02/07/psychopath-workout/ was the very first workout of hers I ever did and I still go back and do it as a "fit test" to mark progress, or if I stop working out as much for a while, it's the first thing I do when I come back. I really like the Tabata style (I think…

You look great. Way to stick with it and bust out of the cliche.

I don't log tea because I usually drink it black, but this morning I had a chai type that I felt required milk and I added probably half a tablespoon and didn't log it. Living dangerously!

Haha, that's not even close to staying on. That's a great marker of all your hard work and progress. Congratulations.

I sometimes felt this way when I first started and I knew it wasn't healthy-being overly restrictive or unforgiving of yourself risks failure. Big red numbers in my diary stressed me out. So I changed my diary setup to track some things where it's okay or good to be over (protein, fiber, iron). It maybe sounds strange but…

Hi, I sent you a friend request. I turned 30 last month and was hearing all this advice like "If you want to get fit, do it now. It doesn't get any easier." So in June I decided I wanted to enter my 30s headed in the right direction and have been working out more regularly (was always pretty into exercise though) and…

Sounds like you've got the right attitude. Keep it up. Consistency is everything. And congrats on the pants size loss.

Just to add to this, I find it really hard to get enough Vitamin C, iron, etc. when I eat fewer calories. If you plot those out (which you can do under the Reports tab), are you hitting 100% of the RDAs? If not, you may have problems in the future, in addition to whatever energy needs you're likely not meeting. I suppose…

I record it as "Circuit training, general". The calories seem about right to me, although sometimes I will adjust down slightly if I don't feel the workout is as cardio-intensive.

Congrats. Go out and rock that shirt!
