I love McDonalds, especially the chicken wraps. They're energizing.

Good to see you back on track Rmims "Jillian" 316! What's everybody first name anyway? Mine's not hard to guess. I'm curious about your New Year's prepositions if you have any at all… I've taken up the idea to run half a marathon in March, which is part of Chongqing's International Marathon event. It means I'm giving my…

It all depends on your foot type. To self diagnose you could go to http://www.oddshoefinder.com/oddshoesblog/chapters/chapter-1-how-to-get-a-good-fit/ To decide what kind of shoe is good for you one place you could go to is http://www.runningshoesguru.com/best-running-shoes-wizard/ I have narrow feet and rather high arches…

I second this!

Welcome rmims316. Hope everyone is still doing okay in China! I know I am. Two months ago I got a membership at Powerhouse Gym - go there abt 4 times a week. It's a welcome change after having constantly worked out at home. Still hard to find good foods without paying too much, so mostly I stick with chicken breast,…

You obviously never swallowed a bat that was flying too close to a black hole!

No it's not. On average, a woman can gain approximately 5 to 12 lbs. of muscle a year, and that is with proper diet (no deficit) and consistent strength training - not being "hip hop abs". http://www.livestrong.com/article/382721-how-much-muscle-can-i-gain-a-year/#ixzz2AsxayozV

Maintaining is more of an art than losing. It's also an everyday evaluation of your calories/weight. When I was trying to lose 10 kilos I ate 1600 cals, to maintain I've noticed that I can eat almost twice that! But as someone here said: if you notice the scale is up, eat less. If you notice it's down, eat more.

Would love to add some 40+ gainers-maintainers

Have you used the tape measure method? For me, both tape measuring and calipers show the same result.

Agreed! Should not be too hard, technically?

When you're hungry you are low on energy, move less and burn less. Ergo: eat more, move more, burn more.
-
Well, looking at the picture below, I would not want to go as low as 5% lol

As long as it fits in with your macros! You can always take off a bun. Chicken wraps contain relatively low fat. I just had two and a strawberry sundae. Scale didn't budge (but then, I want to gain).

Yesterday I ate around 4000 calories (I'm only a short guy 1.69m), today I feel fitter than ever, walking the whole day long loosing weight, although I want to gain. Up your calories a loooot!!!! With the right mind set, the more you eat, the more energy you have, the more you do, the more you lose!

^ This!

Well, while your 'slow walker' is walking his 2nd hour, the other one must be burning calories doing another activity mustn't he? And since even sleeping is an activity, the question is not WHAT he is doing but HOW MUCH TIME there is to do it.

I love hack squats since I train at home using them as an alternative to the regular squats. They're safer and I dare say that they're equally if not more effective! It's certainly not a dead lift although it targets the 'dead lift muscle group' more than do regular squats. I always place a low bench behind the barbell in…

The hack squats were 'invented' by Georg Hackenschmidt, and I love them! I train at home and use them as an alternative to the regular squats since I feel safer doing them, and I dare say that they're equally if not more effective! It's certainly not a dead lift although it targets the dead lift muscles more than do…

Yeah that's it! Thanks a lot!

Have your visits to the bathroom increased? It's probably that you're losing water - and that can have a lot of causes… Don't worry, I had lost a lot of water weight after I stopped creatine (which before had made my body retain a lot of water) - you can read it…

What's the title of that story again where the protagonist must march among fellow walkers until there's only one left and the rest killed just because they had to give up due to exhaustion? I read it a long time ago and loved it and really want to re-read. Also loved the Dark Tower-series. Currently I am re-reading…
