Insane!
Hello everyone, how are you doing! My first attempt to get back on the wagon failed, but now I am trying again with more willpower. I've re-downloaded Insanity, and in combination with a good diet I'm hoping to lose 5 kg in 2 months and getting that amorphous body back into shape. Enjoy your time in China! Roger

I'm back!
Hello all, it's a little embarrassing but I have to say that I'm back after 7 months doing nothing but snacking, drinking beer and wine, no exercise at all and eating whatever came on my way. Not eating - devouring! You can already see it in my shirt (the wrong side) for a while, and today is the day that this has to stop!…

Good that you found this group! If you are in China, or if you are planning to move to China and at the same time stay fit, this group might offer some good tips to help you cope. And although China might be to big to get everyone to meet in person, we all have AT LEAST in common that we are far from home, and use MFP.…

Why most dieters get it wrong
Lowering your daily calorie intake makes you think about food. A lot. Thinking about food a lot makes you hungry. And since your body just loves all that fat you’ve been feeding it all those years it now wants to hold onto it, and it is going to resist against your plans. If you fight it, you’re going to lose. You can’t…

Stuff that worked… and stuff that didn't
Well, let me start by attaching a graph, which represents both my weight and calorie intake from January 1st till now. See a bigger picture here "http://www.4shared.com/photo/OTjUleSm/weight.html" At first there seems to be no relationship between how much I ate and what I weighed, but wait!, there definitely is…

The truth about counting food calories
Thought I'd share an article with which method I've had major success in maintaining my weight. Do calories matter or do you simply need to eat certain foods and that will guarantee you'll lose weight? Should you count calories or can you just count portions? Is it necessary to keep a food diary? Is it unrealistic to count…

Mirrors or Photos?
What do you feel is closer to reality, the reflection of you in the mirror or a photograph of yourself? I tend to say the latter. Before I wanted to lose weight and looked in the mirror I always thought "Ah, I still look acceptable", but was I shocked to see what photos showed of my belly and neck! Felt like the mirror had…

Looking for high cals pals
Hi all… four months ago I weighed 70 kilos () and since I'm thin frame I decided to lose 10 kg. Now I find myself too thin and it's really hard to put back on some weight. Muscle weight, not fat. I exercise 3/7 doing full body workouts but I realize I have to eat at least 3000 calories every day to let those muscles grow,…

Which programs have you followed and were they successful?
I've tried the following so far: Insanity - good for initial stamina, agility and weight loss, but not suitable to do more than once Les Mills Pump - very relaxing, but in the end did not build enough muscle P90X - good ab ripper, but the workouts last too long and, at least for my goal, too many reps to build muscle…

Training program hybrids?
I love P90X, Les Mills Pump and Insanity, and since I can't do ALL of them I have combined my favorite programs into some kind of hybrid. Here's my schedule: MO - LES MILLS pump & burn + P90X Ab ripper X TU - INSANITY Upper Body weight training WE - P90X Legs And Back + P90X Ab ripper X TH - P90X Shoulders & Arms FR - LES…

Favorite shoulder exercise
What do you do to build your shoulders? I recently discovered the "Arnold press" - which really seems to tone the front and lateral shoulder part… I do less for the traps to avoid the 'pencil look'… Por the posterior deltoids I found this video: http://www.livestrong.com/video/4132-sexy-shoulders-posterior-deltoids/ I'd…

Saying farewell to Insanity
I'm going to say farewell to Insanity. I completed round 1 and since I was not up for Asylum I decided to do another round; but after 2 weeks now, I am bored, my body has gotten used to the exercises and even gained weight the last few weeks. I desperately need to change what I am doing and have decided to give Le Mills…

How to fill my 1700 cal diet?
Hi. I recently discovered IF (intermittent fasting) and started IF-ing 3 days ago/ So far so good, although I'm always considering how to fill my meals with (the right) food. I don't only want to lose fat, but also gain (a little) muscle weight, so I want my diet to be protein high and carb low (I'm taking raspberries…

Insanity Asylum
Has anybody done the Asylum yet? I'm nearing the end of my 60-days Insanity program and thinking of either doing Asylum or a hybrid as a 90-day program… Are the two very different? I also heard you need some props?
