Mirrors or Photos?

What do you feel is closer to reality, the reflection of you in the mirror or a photograph of yourself? I tend to say the latter.
Before I wanted to lose weight and looked in the mirror I always thought "Ah, I still look acceptable", but was I shocked to see what photos showed of my belly and neck! Felt like the mirror had been lying to me all that time! Now I lost weight and want to gain again, and even though all the body parts look fine in the mirror, photos reveal that I still can have some more muscles on my body.
Of course, I also take what others say about me as valuable feedback, but I can't ask them 10 times a day lol (note that even I am short and old, I'm also extremely vain!)

I agree, photos are more reliable. I've found some mirrors actually make you look slimmer. Good for the ego but not so helpful if you're trying to lose weight.0

Photos.
I am a mirror avoider, I think I went about 18 months without really looking at my body in a mirror - so if I could get into clothes then I was fine and then I started buying bigger clothes and that was fine.
Photos show you how you really are - if you're brave enough to look at them.0
