I've tried the following so far:
Insanity - good for initial stamina, agility and weight loss, but not suitable to do more than once
Les Mills Pump - very relaxing, but in the end did not build enough muscle
P90X - good ab ripper, but the workouts last too long and, at least for my goal, too many reps to build muscle
Classic strength training - seems like the way to go, but just started so I'll have to wait and see
I must add that my goal is to gain some overall muscle weight without losing tone.

No program. Swimming and weights. Swim 2 miles then lift weights. Sometimes I extend the swim to 5K.
At the Y I go to they also have Axtivtrax which tracks and maps workouts. Haven't used that yet.0 -
Strength training focusing on the major compound lifts.
The P90x and others I've tried just to see, but they felt more like endurance training/cardio than mass building exercises to me.0 -
Beach Body has a new mass building program called Body Beast. I haven't tried it so I can't comment. Otherwise I would just hit the gym for your goals.0
