Are they ripe enough? Unripe bananas have a lot of starch which causes stomach ache.

Been here for 7.5 years now (teaching English all this time) - and 4 months ago I decided it was time to get in shape! I've got a 4 year old son so I can't stay behind. Since I would not like to go to a local gym I'm doing my workouts at home; got my weights at Taobao, one of the advantages of living in China! What do you…

Are you eating enough? ALso careful for overexercising. Combo of strenuous exercise and not enough calories can be disastrous. Happened to me when I was doing the 2nd round of Insanity.

I wasted my money on this ****e. Helped as little as 7-keto. You know what did help? Buckwheat tea. Not to lose fat, but water. And I love the stuff.

Here's the decline I experienced after Round I… Probably I was just getting tired… Did anyone have a similar experience?

The second time I did Insanity I did not only get bored but also lost strength (maybe I was overdoing it). The first time was great though. I got the endurance and strength, and with the fit test results enough motivation to go on, but trying something different. Doing Les Mills pump now, but I still mix in Insanity abs +…

You're doing great! If you compare yourself with others, also compare lottery winners who are exalted at start but often spend their gain too quickly ending up less happy than those who have earned it the hard way! That last one is you.Slow weight loss is often much better as it's more stable and the weight is less likely…

I started Les mills after my Insanity adventure which I finished, but with which I got bored during the 2nd round. Still mixing in Insanity upper body weight training and Insane abs, but so far I love Les Mills! Feel free to add me.

Hi, I started Les Mills after Insanity and am completely happy with it. I do mix Insanity upper body weight training and Insane abs in with the program though, because I always liked those workouts… Feel free to add me :)

That's an interesting question, but not sure if entirely legal. Being in China, I'm all for it though! Right now I'm doing Les Mills Pump, mixed with Insanity upper body training and insane abs. Sometimes I jump on my bike and go for the Chongqing hills. For me it's the ideal program for I'm not getting bored (yet) and I…

They're products/programs from Beachbody.com, like Insanity, P90X or Les Mills Pump. Whatever program you follow, weight loss mainly happens in the kitchen (more calories out than in = weight loss), but trying to achieve your goal with this formula IMO is unhealthy. Like most people here are saying: It's best to adjust…

I dare to say that Insanity is not a weight loss program. It makes you fitter and more agile though, and helps you lose calories - but so does any other fitness program. The art is to combine it with the right amount of calories, not too many, but certainly not too few. Just keep a slight deficit and do not over-exercise.…
-
In my opinion, both (or any) strength program is okay, depening how much you put in it. Most importantly, your calories out are bigger than your calories IN. Don't overdo either your exercise or deficit though, that's not healthy (loose skin, malnutrition etc)...

Hi, I'm in Chongqing and love Taobao to get my stuff from… I took the liberty of starting a group for this who are in China or planning to move there (or for everyone else interested)… Hope you join. The name of the group is "MFP in China"… Keep it up everyone!

Good job. You control food and not the other way around.

Thanks Barkin43, I've changed it to public. I've tried skim milk w protein powder (love it) but it's not always easy to make at work… Mh, you're right I could make it at home and take it with me...

I started IF today (16/8)… Feels good! I'm just wondering if I can eat up my calories, they now seem so many. I started this because I felt lousy and without energy especially in the afternoon… Besides I was gaining weight, in spite of my deficit. I think that might be because I've also started taking creatine lately, but…

I wouldn't touch it too many times… check out this Tuna calculator… http://www.ewg.org/tunacalculator

Often use chicken as a base. Low in calories, high in nutrition (esp protein)… Add veggies and legumes or nuts… Try to avoid simple carbs, dressing (instead use herbs and spices).

This is what I do: before workout: clif bar (or 20-30 gr dark chocolate), 7-keto 25 mg (but trying to build down), 2 gr creatine M in dextrose after workout: 200 ml lactel milk, 1 scoop whey powder, 2 gr creatine M in water

On a perfect photo-shoot day and then afterwards looking at those photos that had me in it… That was the day I decided I had to lose weight

I was at 1650 (recommended by MFP) until I reached my weight goal of 60.3 kg; so then I set my profile to "maintain weight", when MFP recommended I start eating 1930 cal. But after a week of doing this with the same workout level, I have gained 2 pounds, so I'm back to my previous 1650 - which seems better for me.

I usually do my workouts in the morning… Before I start I drink a cup of coffee and eat a cliff bar (or black chocolate), afterwards a bowl of lactel milk, oatmeal mixed with nuts (muesli) and a scoop of protein powder. If I do a double in the afternoon, I just have the milk and the scoop and wait with any other food until…
