  • Yeah, I don't know what caused it, but since it was at the same period I was trying out creatine I guess that was what caused it... When I stopped it first pooled in the abdomen and ankles, later in the feet. My legs felt really stiff but they never hurt. Then, maybe a week later, I started loosing it all. Had to go to the…
  • lol this cracked me u p!
  • You clearly haven't read (or understood) the article which distinguishes gross energy from metabolizable energy. Which means that a calorie is a calorie is a unit of energy, but how the body utilizes that energy is depending on a number of other factors (e.g. composition of macro nutrients)… I have measured my own progress…
  • I think I'll just follow the book, which means HT3 and then the Strength series… maybe finally fat loss, but now there's not much fat to lose. 3 WO/week is plenty - they actually recommend to not do more than that. 25 reps is doable with lighter weights, but for the body weight exercises like dips I just cannot handle it.
  • I had this issue after taking creatine last year (not much, 2 grams a day)… Water started piling up, especially in abdomen and ankles… When I stopped it, what happened is shown in the chart below (weight is in kg). I got so scared of the sudden weight loss I went to the hospital for a check-up… They couldn't figure it out…
  • Exactly this. Of course, all kinds of factors influence one's weight besides calories, such as type and intensity of exercise, water retention, etc., but these things as well as how much you eat can be easily corrected. Log what you weight and eat everyday. When you step on the scale in the morning, adjust your food plan…
  • Good philosophy! I try to do the same, but I would still pick hotels that have a gym...
  • Like I said, HT2 feels a bit weird… but with the adaptations I described it's doable and fun. I do hate 2*25 though… It sounds like a quirky, but there seems to be no end to 25 reps. Also, they don't give that much attention to the legs. But with the right form, it's still very effective. How long have you been doing NROL?…
  • I wrote classical music when I was a student. Didn't do much with it after I graduated. I did pick up my trumpet after 25 years (well, actually it's a flugelhorn but the embouchure and fingering is the kind of the same)… At home we have many instruments that I all just play a little: piano, 2 violins, 2 cellos (1 little…
  • Think nothing of it, the money is better spend on the gym!
  • Buy them regularly and you'll lose weight if you step on the scale with your wallet in your hands.
  • Put some menthol under your nose, that's what coroners do to mask the smell of rotting flesh :)~
  • So far I've finished the Break-in and HT1. AM now on the 3rd week of HT2 and have to say the program is great! It never gets boring and keeps the DOMS coming, which at least makes me feel I've had a good workout. Now, with HT2, I had to adapt some of the exercises. For example, dips - I never would be able do 2*25 of them.…
  • ^ This. Plus, don't try to go too fast, keep eating enough and take some brisk walks regularly! You can do it.
  • Agree with the bikini people! Otherwise, the blue one. Not the pink.
  • 2 Eggs 'n cheese! (Edit: and lots of coffee)

  • Bar slipped out of my hands yesterday while deadlifting w a snatch-grip. Had to drop it to prevent injury. I did feel embarrassed, though.
  • Because of squats I often win with Scrabble!

  • True! Curry is the magic, because of the cumin in it. It works wonders: http://www.diethealthclub.com/health-food/cumin-seeds-health-benefits.html, although I just eat it because I love the taste.
  • As far as exercise goes, I agree with the above, but not food wise. Switching up stuff can be confusing. Eating the same everyday might sound boring, but it certainly does help if you have weight issues! Once you find what works for you, it's better to control weight. At least it did for me. I love eggs, oats and chicken…
  • Hard to say. Your diary is almost empty.
  • Maybe you're overtraining? I'd try eating a bit above your goal instead of under (looked at your diary) for some weeks. You need fuel for all those workouts!
  • I almost finished HTI (that's the first part I'll be doing before HTii and iii, strength i ii and iii and fat loss i ii and iii)… I try to workout every other day.NROL is a great program, It's simple and never gets boring.
  • I disagree, this actually helps.

  • WHAT?! OP, pls ignore this. You've got the vote of all the healthy people - physically and mentally!
  • True, BUT there even more posts from people who apparently haven't read this! This sister's got it all right - listen to her!
  • Do you feel energized enough? If not, eat more. Try going on a 15k walk, then step on the scale. Immediate results! I promise. Eat most of it back though, and repeat after you feel recovered. Good for weight loss and stress relief. You'll break through your plateau. If then the hair loss still remains, it's an underlying…
