  • Welcome, welcome! This is a great site to make friends and get support you need, especially when those around you don't seem to acknowledge that you are trying to lose weight! (Which is the case for me!) Good luck to you!!!
  • Thanks!!! I know I will be stressed because she won't get her naps in, so hopefully I don't reach for some chocolates.. (I tend to go overboard!)
  • added! good luck to you, Sam! Will be here for support!

  • That is awesome about your daughter. I never had any cavities either until I started working at a Dairy Queen in high school and drinking lots of soda and eating lots of icecream. :/ Oh, and P.S.- I had a nightmare last night that I was drinking a huge can of Pepsi. lol. I remember looking down and reading the label and…
  • AMEN! Thanks for posting this! I gave up soda awhile ago, and this just validates my reasoning why. My husband drinks it more than water, and my in-laws have a special fridge in their garage designated just for the cases of soda they buy. Scary! I will have to show them this. Thanks again!
  • definitely a HRM watch, and maybe a gift certificate to a place where I get some good quality exercise clothes and shoes.
  • thanks Sharon- I think I'll try that. Am looking forward to the results!!
  • Girly, check out http://www.melaleuca.com/ They have hands down, the BEST multivitamin you will EVER take. They have the best absorption rate, and they don't make you sick. All of the others are kind of, well... junk. Some vitamins even have stuff in it that you can't even absorb and you are just wasting your money. They…
  • i know of a few people that have taken a thermogenic- hydroxycut or something like that. but if you are looking for energy, you should just take some good vitamins. B6 is good for energy. I take vitamins, drink my fiber supplement, and take echineaca to keep my immune system going, especially since its flu season, and i…
  • I would love to do this- is there a website or something with more info?
  • i am right there with you, girly. my husband is a full time college student and has no time to work, and i don't want to put my baby in daycare to work, so i am always coming up with thrifty cheap meals. some of our regular meals and snacks are: oatmeal (most any way you get it is cheap, packets or in the big can) eggs:…
  • boho, i was doing 7 pm- i know its only an hour later, but it seems to be easier to start out that way. good luck!
  • I had this same question last week and posted a forum about it. After seeing people's opinions, I decided to take the sugar intake off of my food diary, otherwise I would just be annoyed. A few people told me that the sugar intake was for processed foods, not for natural sugar sources (fruit, dairy, etc). I wouldn't even…
  • I was on 1000 cal for the past two weeks until thanksgiving, where I ate WAY too much. I gained, of course, but now I am back to my regular routine and also eating my 1200, plus some (but not all) of my exercise calories. And the thanksgiving weight quickly shed. Perhaps it was just water weight, but I am feeling good…
  • Sick!! thanks for this, as I love raisin bran!
  • very interesting. i can totally see the validity of their points. i however, use natural products so i have no issues with these "harsh chemicals" screwing with my skin. i get comments all the time on how vibrant and good my skin and hair looks. thanks for sharing, though. i always enjoy reading things like this…
  • I love Leslie's DVDs! They are so great and easy on the joints when I'm having a rough time. I have her "Walk away the pounds" DVD (4 fast miles), and it is currently the only one I use. I am so annoyed with my other ones. lol. But it is nice because you get your cardio and strength training if you have the stretchy band,…
  • okay thanks! i think i'll just take it off my diary settings, or i will freak out daily :ohwell:
  • yea.. i'm totally not going to make this goal :(. i got sick for a few days prior to thanksgiving and wasn't up to working out. but i am going to do this challenge to myself for this next week, to burn off the Thanksgiving feast!
  • strangely, i feel like shoes slow me down and make me clumsy. i usually never work out with them-- but i've had to a couple times. i've really upped my at home work outs (Leslie Sansone), and my ankles were hurting a little, so if my feet start hurting, I'll wear shoes maybe once a week out of 4 or 5 times. just listen to…
  • i have to agree with her- there are always people out there who are jealous of your happiness, and spend their days trying to make others just as miserable as them.
  • that stinks. people can really be so rude sometimes!! this has happened to me 3 times so far in my life, so you are not alone! I think some people just are kind of idiots, and don't think before they speak. don't let someone else determine how you feel. keep up the good work!:flowerforyou:
  • hahaha... You've gotta watch out for those infomercials! You watch them long enough and you begin to think you need it. Even something as ridiculous as this. Thanks for this!
  • I think its pretty normal for us to all retain some water weight. Don't let it get you down!! :)
  • thanks everyone! i did some reading up on it here in the forums, and i am going to eat them. (reluctantly!), but i totally get it now. Thanks!
  • For spaghetti squash, I use that instead of spaghetti noodles. Even my husband loves it, and he is a carb lover. For butternut squash, I cook and mash them, with a little Brummel and Brown butter, salt, and pepper, and eat those in place of mashed potatoes. Pretty typical, i know, but these are the norm in our house!
  • I'm game!! Gym, look out, here I come!
