I am in Connecticut - things along the coast in this state are pretty bad - I live closer to Boston so the weather at my house was not as bad as it was in other parts of the state. There is additional flooding expected to occur along the coast as well as all the power lines down and submerged under the water. Lots of work…

Here's a bumper sticker I saw one day that fits this perfectly: "I know I'm fat, but you're ugly - at least I can lose weight!"

Beefoutz - we are in the same boat, weight, goal and age. I am 47 years old with a goal of 77 pounds to lose. Don't know if you have done any research regarding a correlation between weight loss in women and age (i.e. peri-menopause, menopause, decrease in metabolism, etc.). What have seen so far shows no correlation,…

I agree with you - I go to PT 2x a week for 1.5 hours nonstop and do cardio/floor work the other days - I take 2 days off when my back tells me to. I started weighing 1x a week because of the 'scale frustration' and was down 3 lbs. (which broke the plateau i had been on for 2 months). I went to the doctor for a follow up 3…

Try looking at: www.fat2fitradio.com It will show several different calculations like lean body mass, body fat, BMR, etc. Hope this helps :-)

I am shooting for 80 pounds and have been on a plateau for almost 3 months. Quite frustrating to say the least, however, I am seeing a change in my body and know that I am eating very healthy, so decided to decrease calories and bump my goals up for exercise. Friend me if you would like - we can encourage each other!

what do you want to be added too?

I'm not a guy, but...seriously???

I keep a journal and write in it every time I weigh. I use it to write notes of encouragement to myself and as a reference guide - for instance, if I had a particularly stressful day and gained or did not lose weight, I can look back and be reminded of the negative impact stress has on my body. So...I use is not so much to…

I am in the same boat, except I am currently on medical leave due to a back injury (I am also an above the knee amputee). I am doing 100+ crunches and along with multiple other core exercises that are making me sweat as well. I just got the go-ahead from the doc and started walking some trails in my area - am only to 15…
