You are already a good weight for your height, so any weight you want to lose will be hard and slow up to 0.5 lb a week is good at this stage. Use the flow chart, it really helps. Make sure you are weighing everything every bite counts now and eat 1200 cals net , I'm smaller than you (4'11) and couldn't survive on so…

Arrgh stupid app didn't post the rest Short version - I watch cals to lose weight , I excersise for health but it also allows me to eat a bit more. Shouldn't matter how you get excersise just move more and reap the benefits

I count calories obvs as I'm here. I try my best to stay around my weekly/ daily goal and I do excersise. However my exercise doesn't mean I go to the gym , I walk . It does mean that I can eat more if I need to I'm on 1200 cals (im small

You are only giving yourself a month to lose 15lbs, it's not possible. Slow and steady keeps it off. Look to lose 2-6 max first month you may lose a bit more due to water weight but with so little to lose ( I know it doesn't feel like it) you should be aiming for a 250- 500 cal deficit. It took time to put on that weight…

All of the above^^ I have been at it this time round for 6 months and it can definately be hard to keep up the motivation but trust the process. Maybe a week or more at eating maintenance will help , definately look into your deficit for the week. Whenever I feel like it's just not enough food I drop the deficit to .5lbs…

I love food, I love eating , am i addicted? I don't think so but I have definitely had periods where I can binge, still eating when I am full but not feeling it. I take each day as it comes now and each day is a fresh start. Keeping busy helps as does recognising your triggers ( emotional eating anyone? ) I find if I start…

In the past banana and cheese and onion crisp sandwiches . Or peanut butter and marmalade More recently chopped chicken apples and grapes in Greek yogurt on top of a green salad yum

Well that made my brain squeak

I like the fact she states she can eat what she wants just In appropriate portions. I personally couldn't whip out a scale at a restaurant but in a society where celebs are promoting all kinds of woo diet , cleanses , detox etc its definitely refreshing

Another favourite is chicken Kiev with a garlic and herby butter filling. Not low cal but very yummy
-
Whole roasted chicken with salt and pepper cooked upside down ( breast at the bottom) long and slow in the oven until the meat falls off the bone . You can rub the flesh with other flavours like garlic and herbs or Piri Piri but sometimes plain is good.

I personally would eat at maintenance if really concerned about putting on weight. This number is individual and slowly increasing cals until you stop losing is one way to find that number. Your body needs to heal and it needs the appropriate fuel and nutrition to do this.

How low in calories do you want it to be? A portion of pasta 75g dry weight is roughly 260-270 cals and is not a large amount. Veggie tomato based sauces made from scratch are lower in cals than creamy sauces also additions like meatballs and cheese will up the calorie count considerably. I manage to fit pastas and gnocchi…

My husband dislikes most veggies, this stems from his mother and her dislike. However in the decade+ I've been with him he And I have found he doesn't hate them all equally. He may not like salad, raw tomatoes and sweet potato But will eat corn , cabbage, fine beans Mushrooms. He will eat tomato based sauces into which I…

I have large multiple fibroids. I still want more kids so a hysterectomy is out of the question. However it has made having kids challenging. I don't really suffer from them but then I thought all periods were painful and heavy. It hasn't hindered my weight loss but it is interesting to find out about alcohol and its part,…

Salmon, when in offer I buy long filleted sides and portion them out in the freezer ready to use in pasta or with veg or noodles. Salad - tomato, rocket and cucumbers. A can of chickpeas and a jar of tahini to wizz up some hummus. Recently made a lower fat pesto that I froze in portions in a silicone cake pop mould, gonna…

I think you are confusing BMR with TDEE The Fitbit burn for the day is your estimated TDEE. BMR is the basic amount of cals needed to survive if you were not to move at all.

Oh forgot to say, gained the weight back because I stopped logging, paying attention to the quantity I was eating and being generally afraid to step on the scale and just face up to it. Soon realised I wanted pictures of my young family with me in it , and it was only me that didn't like what I saw so I'd better do…

Posted too soon .... Meant to say worrying to much about healthy and what my definition of it was , trying to cut out 'processed ' eating 'clean' blah blah blah. Anyway it may work for some but not for me. Sometimes I fancy a biscuit or a canned soup or cake and it doesn't mean I've failed. My all or nothing attitude…

This is the 3rd time I've been back to mfp, I've lost the most this time about 37lbs not quite to goal but pretty happy with how I look and have to put it on hold now as I'm expecting again. I think the reason I got slack and had to return is that previous times I never saw it as a lifestyle change that I could sustain. I…

A push up bra is my best friend when I need a bit more perkiness. Would love the high round boobs of my younger years but as I'm not going to get surgery it's not happening. Two kids and 40lbs down. Hubby stills thinks I look good and so do I ( in a bra lol)

I definitely put on weight when I started going out with then bf now husband. But that wasn't his fault , I just wanted to eat same portions as him and same foods that he can get away with. He has always been supportive when I am cutting back and often doesn't comment or get involved ( which suits me fine) but does think I…

I hate wearing anything on my wrists and not really interested in hrm so I got a zip. It's cute and very discreet, haven't lost it yet ( had it over 6months ) and does the job.

^this I will assume that you have reduced your deficit as you went along so , as you got closer to goal you were set to .5lb or -250 cals. It shouldn't be a shock to your body but definatley a good suggestion to up cals slowly and adjust if you are gaining or losing too much. Try the Maintaining board , there are loads of…

It can definitely be depressing , but at least you can see why everyone says weigh everything. All these little discrepancies add up and bang your deficit is gone, leaving you frustrated when looking at that scale number not moving. I have been weighing for ages but I still can't eyeball a correct serving of butter,…

Food packaging always tends to be off. I weigh all my packaged meat before cooking as it rarely weighs what the packet says and for calorie dense foods like meat especially important.

I walk with my chow chow, but he's a sniffer so we often have to stop and I'm found marching on the spot while waiting for him.

Calories are far too low. I get eating within a window of time , but I personally couldn't do it your way, I'm an evening muncher. Eat more calories especially as you are working out a lot. You will lose lean muscle mass and burn your body out. This is not sustainable nor healthy and you will not like the end result. Good…
