  • I don't use them, but I'm much older than you. If I ate my exercise calories I wouldn't lose. I think you have to figure out what works best for you.
  • Funny you mentioned that. I find lowcarb days easier too. Will be interested in what you find out. I am saving my Slingshot week for Vero Beach and not quite sure how I will manage it. We will be eating out every night.

  • wow, you look great. Keep it up and you will be at your goal soon. You need to change your profile picture. Some day I will post my before but not yet. Maybe after Disney. I still have a long way to go, but have kept off over 40 lbs for several years and now I'm working on the rest.

  • Welcome, would glad to have you add me. I am on week 4 and have lost about 7 lbs. but have lost a bunch of inches. Weight finally seems to be catching up on the measuring tape. It helps to look at others diaries to get ideas of what to eat. Glad you are here.

  • This is great After looking at it I remembered I used to do cucumber water, really refreshing. We went to a luncheon and they had it, came home and made some.
  • I've only been doing this 2 1/2 weeks but it is working. First week lost 5 lbs, second only a little but I have started measuring and the inches are coming off. At some point the weight will catch up. Would love to be your friend. I have my diary open if it helps you to look at what others are eating.

  • I'm not working but am using lots of cottage cheese on lowcarb days with fruit. Sometimes also roll meat and string cheese in lettuce leaf for low carb. On high carb I do 1 piece rye bread with turkey on it or the cottage cheese with fruit. Really fills me up.

  • I just finished week 2 this morning. Only lost .2 lbs the entire week. 5.2 total but trying to figure out why. I know Chris says it takes your body a while to start to burn fat but I was unhappy with the scale numbers this morning. The good thing is I can feel the loss in my clothes just not on the scale.
  • I don't because of rotator cuff surgery. Do other cardio & stregnth like squats & sit ups, but even sit ups cause me problems. Any suggestions for exercises for stregnth without using my shoulder would be great.
  • This is a great simple one. Peel sweet potatoes and cut in 1" chunks, take apples (what ever kind you like) and cut a little larger than the sweet potatoes. Set oven at 400 degrees. Toss with a little nutmeg, cinnamon & Splenda Brown Sugar. Toss in a little olive oil and roast for about 35-40 minutes. Everytime I make this…
  • I found a recipe on the Choose to Lose website last week and fixied. Pretty simple, shrimp, tomatoes, a little olive oil, low fat feta cheese & I used lemon pepper & fresh Greek oregano. I'm sure if you go to the website it will still be there. He posts a lowcarb recipe each week.

  • I'm new also, been on her for about a month, but just got serious last week. Feel free to add me also. We need to support each other. I've found in the past that it helps to have friends on the journey.
  • If any of you need a friend I've been doing the diet only for a week but had good results. 5 lb loss in 1st week. I've done many diets, weight watchers & Dukan and got side tracked or diet was too restrictive. This is something I can live with and still do life.
  • Lisa, I've only been on this a week, but lost 5 pounds. Had my cheat day Sunday and I gained a little. Scared me to death, but today I'm down to the 5.2 lb mark again. Looks like something I can live with.
  • I'm on week two. Thanks for the suggestions. Will try not to eat desserts, but can't promise. Will be interesting to see my progress this week. I did have a cheat day Sunday and felt like I ate too much junk.
