I love sugar and find eliminating it the hardest part of losing weight. If my calories allow, I have a Zone Perfect Protein Bar. They have 2 that are dark chocolate flavor and taste like dessert. They are 190 calories so not too bad for dessert cravings.

I am also a teacher. I make my lunch the night before. Also, if I don't take a salad, I take a variety of small items. I have read about this diet online but do not have the book. Do most of you follow the book and recipes or just eat the basic foods that are allowed? I will need to buy a book if needed. I have lost 11 pounds since Thanksgiving but am not losing. The 17 day diet sounds perfect to jump start more pounds off.

How long has it taken you to lose 30? You look fantastic. I am looking to lose 30-40 and lost 5-8 quickly but have not dropped much in last 3 weeks. I admit I probably weigh too often and also struggle with drinking tons of water. Any suggestions that worked for you?

Current Weight: 195.2 Goal Weight: 185 (by xmas eve) 11/26: 191.4 12/3: 186.4 12/10: 182.0 (met goal weight so going for below 180 by xmas eve) 12/17: 179.2 12/2: 178.6 Total in 5 weeks was: 11.6 Very happy with that. Will try not to back slide over xmas.

I am with you too! I ate oatmeal for breakfast and will try to stay on track over the next 4 days. I agree.....if I log EVERYTHING it might keep me accountable. Also, some foods are hard to get calories for (like casseroles made by others) so might be easier for me to just not eat that stuff. I hope to drink as much water…
