The age I am right now! Vanilla or Chocolate?

Oh, I remember it very clearly...... one night last winter, my hubby had been gone for weeks for work and I was eating poorly, not active, just really awful. I came home one night and ate an entire frozen pizza, doritos, and almost an entire tub of ice cream. Immediately after I felt sick and guilty, and just slept because…

I did notice my skin clearing up when I tried to drink more, so hopefully I'll get used to it like some of you have said :)

Not really.... since I don't like to drink cow's milk, it doesn't really pack enough protein for me. I also feel like the sugar high right after waking up doesn't really help me the rest of the day. I prefer eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese. If I want something carby I'll go for oatmeal.

Thank you for this!!!

1200 NET after working out is not that difficult. :drinker: I used to think only 1200 (even with workouts) was not hard either. Now I realize my metabolism was slow as a snail and, like someone else mentioned, I was training my hunger in a certain way. Took me quite awhile to convince myself that was all I needed or else…

If you eat ANYTHING in huge portions, 3-times a day, for months..... same thing will happen. It's not a McDonald's problem.

Awesome!!!! :)

I love almond milk, too! I drink the unsweetened vanilla also. I think it tastes close to real milk, but not as sour-y. I drink it straight, but also use it to bake, in cereal/oatmeal, smoothies, lattes, etc. Never going back to cow's milk!

After becoming a vegetarian, I still could not give up sushi—especially nigiri!!! My favorite. So, I indulge once a month or so. :) As for the diet.... I refuse to give up chocolate chips! I know they pack a lot of calories and sugar, but a little goes a long way. Oh, and whipped cream............. :)

I like to choose somewhere with a black bean or veggie burger option—especially when eating out with others. Otherwise, I like to choose sushi or mongolian grill style places for eating out. Seafood is good too—not fried like Long John Silver's, more like an actual sit-down, seafood restaurant.

Dark chocolate covered rice cakes??! Okay, where can I found this NOW.

Oh, nice idea! True, true!! :)

Could you do rowing or punching? :)

Haha :) Moderation IS key! Maybe I shouldn't worry so much about allowing myself something sweet at the end of the day, in moderation.
-
That's a good idea—especially because I was relying on like, swiss miss hot chocolate mixes!!! Ha. Could totally make a nice hot cocoa with protein out of something like that. :)

This is great! But, I'm not too keen on using the sugar-free, fat free jello mix with it.... trying to stay away from stuff like that since it is full of sugar subs and other things to make up for the sugar and fat. Might take a look at it and think of a whole-food alternative for that part!

Oh, I've seen lots of members on here doing that! I HATE that stuff. Blegh!! lol :)

Oh man.... I take a few different things that are actually tailored to my skin problems (acne!!!). I take Women's Symmetry multivitamin (found in the organic section) + DIM supplement for hormone balance (extracts from cuciferous [sp?] veggies like broccoli) + Vitamin D (I live the Pacific NW) + Armour Thyroid for slight…

Oh, this is GREAT! I've made frozen banana ice cream, but I don't really like it after it's been in the freezer a few days, and the bananas are not my favorite. Totally going to try this! Thanks!

Some of my go-to dinners are: - Baked sweet potato with black beans, salsa, tomatoes, spinach on top - Stir fry veggies with a little teriyaki marinade, on brown rice with baked tofu - Quinoa with broccoli, roasted red peppers, feta, chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano - Vegetarian chili with corn, tomatoes,…

Is your monitor a chest strap or a watch? I would suggest trying it each class for a week, and seeing where you average. It could be off if you're noticing huge (100-200cal) differences between days. :)

1) Exercise is important, dietary supplement or not. You shouldn't just add diet pills or whatever and call it good.... 2) Please DO NOT carry weights while you walk around, especially do not swing them. You will tear up your joints that way!!!
