This. Learn to love 'em. Skinny jeans are so overrated.

1. Those two women ARE fitness professionals. 2. Just because my ticker says that doesn't mean that I started at a much higher weight before I joined MFP. You don't know what my journey has been. 3. People with lots of weight to lose actually need to eat much more to start. A 5'7" female at 250lb actually has a caloric…

^ this is exactly what drove me to find Eat More 2 Weight Less and up my calories to 2000. I was lucky if I found one or two "success" stories, TRUE success stories, of people losing the weight and keeping it off on 1200 cal diet. Instead, I found many, MANY success stories, as in reaching goal weight, looking toned and…

Seriously good thread.

I haven't failed yet, but I have felt once like I almost couldn't make it up. Nice to read this thread and remember what the safety bars are for! I was a little scared to go again in case I really couldn't make it up the next time. I know what to do now. Thanks!

UPDATE These got really hard the next day and stuck to the liners. I think they need a little more liquid so they'll be more chewy. Trying them today with added unsweetened applesauce and maybe subbing half the bran with oat flour.

I've made those a bunch of times, and they are GREAT :D

Three months after I did my first squat with a bar, I finally got to put on those 25lb plates today. Woo! :) And to think the first time I ever squatted with the bar ONLY I couldn't walk for 3 days.

Um.... what? lol

It's all going to depend on your percentage of body fat in relation to your percentage of lean body mass.

Thank you for this! I too had a trainer at the gym come up and try to tell me the same thing about the knees and toes (though he was yelling at me while I was squatting my work sets with my headphones in, so I just ignored him and kept going...). If he tries to talk to me about it again, I will mention this. Thanks!

Oh, I see. Okay, well, in that case, sounds like you're on the right track, and I agree a smaller deficit will be more sustainable! :) Good luck!

Well, I just have to say... I've always hated that quote, because, well, NOTHING feels worse than being hungry all. of. the. time. This is becoming my favorite quote of all time: "Eat the food. Eat it. You have a right to not exist in a state of semi-starvation. You have a right to be strong and healthy and have opinions…

So, I feel like I'm missing some information! Are you trying to lose more? It looks from your ticker and what you said in your post, AND from your photos that you're either at or close to your goal weight—is that right? If so, why the cut? You said you're eating 2500-3000 cals a day lately—is that your TDEE? What is your…

I find that fried or "unhealthy" food doesn't usually fit my macros. Like, occasionally I'll have a burger or go out for fast food, but quite often it is at the expense of my macros, or if it is not, it's because I didn't eat very much the rest of the day. So if I stick to IIFYM, I don't usually have room for the stuff…

I think that actually many of them do weight training—here's a photo of Miranda Kerr getting ready for the VS show: I agree with other comments—it's going to be a combination of diet, weight training, and genetics. If you eat a small calorie deficit, lift heavy weights, preferably compound moves with the barbell, you'll…

It looks like you've set your goal to 1200? For MOST people, that is way too low. You should read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 Figure out what your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) is, and eat at a small percentage cut of that. You'll lose weight…

This is so great. Thanks for posting this! And congratulations—on your hard work paying off, and being an inspiration to us!!! :flowerforyou:

Yes!!!! I love you :flowerforyou: :drinker:

Right? Le sigh. Because this looks totally way more healthy and beautiful: :grumble:

This is awesome. I wish I had a job on the pit crew, by the way!! /jelly Also, Deeva: YOU. ARE. AMAZING. My new hero!

Well... it sounds like you don't want your kids to go to or be exposed to church, actually, because it is something different than what you and your husband believe. And if that is the case, then it is totally OK to respectfully call the parents and let them know. I would hope that they could respectfully say the same…

Haha, I know what you mean about the music.... I'm actually always paranoid about that....

Haha... I'm a people-watcher, pretty hardcore, so I'll be honest... I love this. LOL. Anyway, there are a few at my gym... they're not annoying to me at all, I just like the entertainment of having no idea what someone is doing or why (which, sometimes might just show how ignorant I am). :) There's one guy who sports a man…

^ I agree with this. I had huge problems with binging before I got my calories back up to normal levels. Now I eat 1800 calories even while cutting, and make sure to get at least 30% protein—and hardly ever lose control in a binge. Another great side-effect of eating more..... binges = not so much binges anymore, because…

I actually buy my hubby junk food without him asking, and then ask him to eat it. *shrug* :drinker:

Mine is always loaded, too. I put together most of my meals, so I think that contributes. For example, I logged each part of my breakfast, all the ingredients in my salad, etc. If I eat out or have something I'd saved as a recipe, then it is not as packed. It just depends on how you do it and what you eat. :)

Yesssss. I'm a proponent of this.

It just means you're "bumping" the thread... either to get it higher on the most recent list or added to the list of threads you've replied to so you can save it for later.

Yum! Bump :)
