Haha, I love how that's the first thing you notice. Like, oh, worms... no problem. 75lbs in 3 weeks, sure! I'm in. But Dr. Oz? OH WATCH OUT.

Yes, it works! I did yo-yo dieting for years, and was netting way under 1200 calories for the better part of this year after I joined MFP. I felt so much better after I started eating at my TDEE (and I went - 15% for cutting because I didn't have much to lose) and I broke my plateau. I didn't weigh myself until 3-4 weeks…

Photoshop, haha!

Agree.

..... I think I know that guy.

I felt the same way when my sister-in-law said at dinner a few months back, just casually, that women can not do more than 35 pull-ups because our bodies just aren't capable of it. I was like, wait wait wait. Hold up. I googled a video of a woman doing 37 and sent it to her later! Ha!

Very nice!

My question as well! And DO NOT say Jillian.... sorry, I used to think she was the bomb, but she is NOT the bomb. She's a phony. Telling you to do her wimpy circuit training with Barbie weights to get 'ripped'? Yeah, right. She's benching and squatting more than her body weight to look like that, I guarantee. Here's proof…

Do it now!

I am so, SO jealous of you.

I like to spread 'em out all throughout the day. I'll have 300-400 calorie meals, but I'll have 200-300 calorie snacks. It feels to to be full all the time, rather than hungry most of the day and stuffed at one meal! The only exception is if I'm going out with friends/family or attending a party or something. Then I'll…

Ditch that, do this:

How about a couple of eggs and a slice of toast?

No, you won't gain 10lbs in two or three weeks. Anyway, it's not crazy! If you make it a lifestyle change (ie. enjoy everything in moderation, move a little more even when things are busy, make healthier choices) you'll lose the weight and keep it off, AND still be able to enjoy the holidays. :) Good luck!

^ This. My husband is very much against eating healthy, working out, etc. He's not overweight, but I know he's not as healthy as he could be, and I worry about him a lot too. But if I bug him about it, he'll just stone-wall me. So, I too, focus on the changes I am making and how they're affecting me, and he is supportive.…

I can attest to this, from personal experience. Trust me, it is NOT worth it. One step forward (temporarily) and two very-hard-to-lose steps back!!!

Just sounds like she got discouraged. Let her know that one gain isn't the end of the world, and that nobody is judging her!

So, if I'm understanding correctly...... he has the LOOK of muscle, but would probably lose at arm wrestling with a 12-year-old girl? Awesome. That's totally sexy. :noway:

I think the longer one is more flattering overall. Besides, it is often sexier to leave a little to the imagination ;)

Very nice! Those are really fantastic accomplishments, not miniscule at all. I think this year I'm most proud that I've achieved a much healed relationship with food and exercise. Nowhere near my 'goal' body/weight/fitness level, BUT just the fact that I am no longer anxious about food, can eat while being at peace with my…

So. Much. Win.

Oh, my husband does this as well... he often says he wants to be healthy and do what it takes, but then when I offer to help or suggest we go to the gym together, etc. he either says no, or does it and hates it. Guess what, though? We're two individual people. And does it mean he's not supportive of me and my goals? No, in…

Present and accounted for! But seriously, I was the kid who failed Phys Ed because I couldn't run a sub-12-min mile. I just ran my first 5k in November at just under 12-min/mile. :) I used to HATE running and not be able to do it for longer than one minute. Now I can run an entire 5k nonstop, and could probably go longer…

I'm not trying to gain weight, rather trying to lose—but I can definitely relate to the "chore" aspect of it. Planning and making sure you hit your macros is definitely a chore. So, you're not alone! I read some interesting articles during the olympics this year about what those athletes do to keep their calories…

This brought tears to my eyes. I love, love, love that people are passing this along to their kids. That will change the world!!

So good! Thank you! :)

YEAH!!!!!!! That is so awesome. :) Congratulations and THANK YOU for sharing!!!

This is the best! Thank you!

I actually think a great MFP improvement would be making it so we can see the nutrition info BEFORE we click "add to diary". Maybe I'll suggest it.....
